We had Rhode Island Reds, I adored them, even our rooster Darryl (I named him). I used to scoop up one of the hens (of our 2 dozen) and take her into the house to play when I was 10 or so, much to my mom’s chagrin! 😂 I always despised my parents for murdering my friends every other year, I would hide in my room that dreaded day and never ate my friends. 😭🐓

She must be quite young, judging by her facial features. I know, sometimes it's due to the breed, though. I have an olive layer (named Olive), who also has very youthful features. And some silkies, who just seem younger than they are because they're tiny and have big black eyes and short beaks. People always assume, that my miniature silkie Pompon is a baby, but she's almost 3 now and broody as h3ll.
