Chompers is a deaf pitta who snuggles with blankets for the cutest reason. He loves to drag them around the house, he loves cuddling with them and most importantly, he doesn’t like when other people touch his blankets. Chompers is a rescue bully breed who is also deaf. His mom Yarelis makes sure that he always knows when she is around in order to not startle him. Chompers breaks all stereotypes about Pitbulls and continues to live his best blanket loving life.

@@DisDatK9We long ago had a DEAF Cat. Long pure white hair, crystal blue eyes. Apparently not uncommon in white haired,blued dogs or cats? But that cat lived to 19,spoiled rotten. If we didnt tell you,youd never have know she was deaf. Was kept indoors. But could "sense" from upstairs the fridge door being opened,lol. 😅

great story, I have a pit too, very loving, adorable, wear heart on sleave, but I will never get a pit again. comes down to if you own a house, not a good dog to own for insurance purposes!!! they will raise rates or cancel you!! I'm done with that!! God help me if dog bites someone!

@@chadbailey189 I am an actual landlord myself. 12 modest houses in Ottawa county. Michigan. With fenced yards n I allow pets. But True about insurance policies. My agent a decade back,,,had to inform me my policy would NOT cover me any longer if I allowed Bully breeds in my rentals. Now I have no issue with well bred,fixed /spayed large breed dogs in my rentals. But I have no choice to refuse renting to those that have one or get one. .

That pup is CLEARLY a total mama's boy; look at his paws when he's holding a blanket in his mouth. He's milk treading. He's totally still a puppy in his head. Being deaf probably has something to do with it; the world can be scary when anyone can sneak up on you silently. So yeah, his fixation makes total sense. Nothing wrong here; just a pittie living his best life.

We had a Staffie that had a stuffed bunny. He would put the large back foot in his mouth and nurse on it. We called it his sucker bunny. He was buried with it.

I recently started fostering an abandoned pittie who does the same thing, kneading and all! I had to get him his own blanket to spare mine. He's such a big, lovable baby!

I seriously dont think that Bully breeds are any more aggressive than others. Its mostly the owners. You get good and bad in everything , including us. Love Chompers with his noooo noooooo blanket❤❤

My 165 lb Cane Corso does this..he still carries his blanket we had when we got him...We drove 6 hours to get him and wrapped him in it for the drive home.. he loves his blankets...he's 5

I've seen tiny puppies do it while they're drinking their Moms milk, it's the cutest thing to watch puppies do but in Chompers case it's probably because he's deaf and it brings him comfort when he needs it and the blanket has his human Moms smell on it too

How adorable is this! My little 4 pounds Yorkie have a teddy bear, since she was 5 months old, and she sleeps exactly the same with her teddy like your furr baby! She bites only one of the teddy’s foot, and pets the leg while she is falling asleep! My baby is 10 years old now, and I take her teddy with us wherever we go! ❤❤❤❤ I always thought is the cutest thing ever ❤️🐶❤️🐶❤️🐶

Your poor puppy was taken away from his mother before he was properly weaned. His actions are very common to dogs and cats who have either lost their mother or taken from their mother too early. Bless

It looks like Chompers has done a pretty good job of training you to meet his needs. Give yourself a treat for being such a good learner. We adopted an adult Border Collie. It took quite a while to learn that she expected us to be her pack leader. Consistency in giving commands was essential for us in learning what Rayanne expected from us. Once we learned the rules of the game, we were all happier.

He loves you very much so he grabs the blankets to entertain you hoping to entertain you so you won't leave, also, if it's your blanket specifically, it has your scent and he loves that, then he puts them into his mouth to self-soothe, it relaxes him, and makes him happy. These are some of the common reasons doggo's do these things. Bully breeds are extraordinary pups! Quirky, loyal, super-loving, extremely smart, snugglers/cuddlers and are wonderful furkids! They are great with kids too. You've got yourself an awesome pooch, he loves you very much and you seem to really love him which makes you an Epic human being! I have 2 currently, along with wolves, an Irish Wolfhound and a rather large dark tiger tabby whom all get along famously. Additionally, my six year old son has grown up with our furkids, and they all have a beautiful, loving relationship. People need to understand that it's not the dog that's the issue; it's what evil human's do to these dogs. Animals are exceptionally loving being's; they should be treated as such. 😂😂😂 chompers is a bigo cat stuck in a scary pit bull body. ❤❤❤❤ too freaking cute. We had an XL Pitt named choppers, he was the sweetest boy ever with our kids. When they were babies, he’d lay right next to them. When they came over in their car seats, he’d wait and watch them sleep. Once the babies were awake he would just lay around and let the babies and kids lay all over him pulling on every bit of loose skin they could find. That boy was the most perfect boy ever. Chompers reminds me of our old boy.

He's kneading with the blanket. That usually only happens when a young dog or other animal has been taken away from its mother too soon before they were fully breast fed by the mother for the right amount of time.

I got my dog at 12 weeks and he does the same thing when he’s falling asleep but instead of a blanket he sucks on the face of one of his teddies and paws at his blanket, so cute. The teddy is disgusting but it’s his favourite.

My friend has a blind and deaf dog. He’s old. But they clap close to the floor and he feels the vibration and possibly can slightly hear that. Not sure , but he runs toward the clapping and waits to be picked up. They don’t change furniture because he knows his path to the food and doggy door. So it can be challenging but I love pets and am happy these loving people take good care of their fur babies.

pitties are not naturally aggressive dogs. people try to turn them aggressive and because it’s not in their nature we wind up with shelters filled with them. They’re smart, sweet, protective of children and in my opinion the best breed to have.

I adopted a black mouth cur that was on his third family. He had a blanket. He was wild but I got him to give my female boxer/lab a playmate. She looked at him like the women you see fan girling on the Beatles. However she was boss. He calmed right down and lived 18 years. He finely no longer wanted the blanket I took this as a sign of his level of feeling safe.

*In UK they have been retroactively made illegal to own. My friend was forced to have his put down. He was only 3 years old & was the most affectionate dog I have ever seen.*

We had a Dobermann that did this exact same thing. ❤ He would suck his blankets and make biscuits, like sucking on a pacifier, and also needing his blankets at the same time.

My rescue dog the same thing with kneading the blanket she’s also part Staffordshire terrier which are under the pitbull breeds in America. I’ve read that kneading blankets is sign of being separated from mom too young and uts a comforting act they do. but I’ve also read that it’s a sign they are happy either way it provides comfort for them and that’s what’s important

W3 had a big white male pattie that did the sam thing. He suckle on blankets and stuffed toys. He would fall asleep like that. Good stuff
