Wow! Ms Carrie, I love how simple you make your pies , squares, &😅 everything else. My mother used to make sweet potato bread, without the crust, & apple turnovers, on top of the stove, in a cast iron skillet. You cook a lot like my mother, & you're so down to earth. I made what we called a sweet potato bread on Friday. The same ingredients used in making sweet potato pies, but adding raisin and flour!!😊

Would you be willing to post the recipe? I noticed that she had 2 sticks of butter but didn't use both sticks. How much did she actually use?

Hello there,, Happy Christmas 🎄. SWEET POTATO SQUARES - Sweet Potato 🍠 Mashed well - Use 3 Eggs 🥚, Condensed Milk 🥛 add to filling ( added by sight for creamy ness, not an exact amount) Flour 1/4 cup for thickness/stiffness of sweet potato filling 🥧. She said it should be a little thicker than the filling would be for a Sweet Potato Pie 🥧. THE CRUST -- 2 Cups of Flour, -- 2 Sticks of Butter 🧈 SHE ACTUALLY USED 1 & 3/4 STICK OF BUTTER 🧈 CUT UP - 1/2 Cups of Brown Sugar combine by hand. Then transfer combined mixture to a ALUMINUM FOIL LINE baking dish and put in the oven for 20 minutes at 350*, then put the Sweet Potato filling in the ALUMINUM FOIL LINE baking dish( the foil makes it easy to remove it from the baking dish) place in the and bake at 350* for 45 - a hour. Let Really Cool off then make Squares. Good Eating 😋😄.

My Friend I also use condensed milk. Momma shook her head no. But..makes its so creamy plus I add a pinch of pumpkin spice. I don’t measure we’re twins Twin Sis. New Subcriber
