In the last episode I complained about how boring it was. A couple mutants, no firefights, no real danger or excitement. Well, I think the game heard me, because things go 0 to 100 real quick.

Those fleshes soaking 5+ shots of 8mm Mauser and those bottom tier Loners shrugging off .45 ACP HEADSHOTS before dying kind of encapsulates why I won't play with GBO. And you definitely need to go into the files and buff all the knife damage. Holy shit that was pitiful. Multiply all of the current values by like 5 or something. Fuck, maybe even 10. If you get close enough to use the knife, it should put targets down without any question, fuck realism in this case.

Yeah, nothing makes sense anymore. The Mauser is one-shotting every Stalker I see, but the most trash-tier enemy in the game is eating multiple point blank headshots...Wut? I'm all for giving players a reason to use different weapons and ammo types, but this is a little much. As for the knife, I wanted to believe I was just missing. Because if the knife is actually that dogshit, there's a problem. Still don't know how I survived that.

@@MisterKilj0y You missed a few of the knife swings, but most of the swings looked like they connected. The damage is just that low. The vanilla anomaly knives are almost the same level of worthless. Basically every time I reinstall, I have to go back in and adjust the knife damage again. You'd think I'd have made a file with the buffed damage numbers so I could just copy and paste it, but no, I apparently need to do it the hard way EVERY SINGLE TIME. Also, look into a mod called something like 'footsies'. It makes it so you can actually hear enemies walking/running once they get close-ish to you. Including the mutants. It doesn't fix the ones that leap at you from 200 meters and fly like stinger missiles, but for everything else it makes it way more fair.

A footstep mod would definitely enhance the experience, as long as it's not one of those obnoxiously quiet ones. I understand that loud footsteps aren't super realistic. But they need to understand that playing Anomaly with your headphones turned up violates the Geneva Convention.
