In Shivani's words- "My parents told me our flight got rerouted from Frankfurt to Paris, my clueless self didn’t think much of it and decided to use our “layover” to shop. As soon as we walked out, a man (who turned out to be our amazing videographer) was holding a sign with my name and handed me the first note from Shyam: essentially to sit tight and not ask questions lol. IT WAS HAPPENING. 2 mins later a limo arrived. The driver gave me a 2nd note: to enjoy a special Bollywood playlist as we drive. I arrived at a hotel, entered the room to see rose petals, a red gown, heels and a third note: to get ready in 30 mins! Got back in the limo and received the 4th note: to watch a 20 minute video. I cannot even begin to explain the amount of work and effort that went into this video; shoutout to the NINETY+ friends/family who sent in choreographed dances and video messages!! I was blindfolded and brought out to a stunning view in front of the Eiffel Tower. Shyam danced, six of our closest friends flew in and surprised me during the dance, Shyam got down on one knee, ALL THE WORKS. A whole lotta tears, smiles, and “oh my gods” happened. I’m still in disbelief... it truly feels like a dream."
