Couldn't believe youngsters like him giving importance to engine smoothness in a few gears over safety of their life & their dear family member. Such a mentality always keeps Suzuki cars as a top seller in India. Anyway, it is tough for them to understand safety when they think about resale value & few electronic features. Some believe safety depends upon driver skills but there are a lot of external factors which are not only in driver control. Seriously? Do you think everything is in driver control??. Maruti is reliable even after using it for 30years, but we as a buyer should push them to produce better safety rated cars.

Hi Sir, Bought swift zxi variant solid red color, This one best of value for money variant got 17 cash discount ex price after discount 7.5 lakhs. Smoothest car and all features in the are very useful. Took long journey from bangalore to madurai to rameshwaram danuskodi to tuticorin to tiruchendur to kanyakumari to thiruvandapuram to Karur back bangalore. Experience all kinds climate conditions and roads NH, State and village. Driving experience was really excellent , ESP , hill hold assistance and good music system Harman 👌 you love speaker output. Good road extablity with 120km. I personally loved ease of drive in amt and turning radius very minimal. Got average 20kmpl, zero cabin noise Overall my family was happy and we experienced safe journey without any issue in my my new swift car.

I bought tiago. I do frequent travelling in highway and cruise at 100 to 110 kmph with family and kid. Yes sound varum ulla. Since am first time buyer i researched lot and I tried Swift, Magnite and Kiwd also. Tiago felt better value for money at 6.25L. Stability at even 130kmph is very good due to kerb weight of 1ton. With respect to accidents, even if you are better driver accidents do happen. Even though NCAP happens at controlled env at 64KMPH and front impact, Instead of having 0 rating, having atleast some decent safety is better and preferred in highways. Better Govt should make it must for all cars come with 4 cylinder engine and 6 air bags and safety features. May be charge more but thats acceptable.

I had kuv100, I took test drive of all new Swift, sadly didn't feel it as sturdy and strong as kuv100, very light weight build, especially the floor, when you keep your legs on the floor, you can feel like stepping on a tin sheet. Don't know why this car is so favorite for Indians. Also the top end swift is about 9 lakhs. As in other comments, even though you are F1 or rally level expert driver, mishaps happen due to external mistakes, so safety is very much important. All Maruthi car buyers, should take additional health insurance with car insurance. No offense, this is the truth.

Sir….never take Dec sales number into consideration….Maruti and Hyundai stopped their production way ahead and sold majority of their cars in second or third week of Dec itself but Tata was selling until 31st Dec and with so much discounts….Tata can never even touch Maruti sales in another 10 years or two so please…btw yes Tata cars are safe and Maruti cars are not but when talking about sales then Maruti will be always no 1 in India with more than 40% market share for so many years to come for sure

A crash test is last test a car gets qualified for. We dont crash a car on daily basis dont we. Any car which crash above 40 km speed is skeptical of saving life in real world condition. An ncap certificate is not sole certification a car requires.

நான் 2014 மாடல் ஸ்விப்ட் vxi கார் வைத்துள்ளேன். எங்கள் குடும்பத்தின் முதல் கார். இன்னமும் பாதுகாப்பான காராக இந்த ஸ்விப்ட் மாற வேண்டும் என்பது உண்மை தான். இதன் பிளாஸ்டிக் / மெட்டல் குவாலிட்டி ரொம்ப கம்மி தான். இன்டீரியர் வாங்கும் போது இருக்கும் பீல் இப்போ இல்லை. ஏன் நா பிளாஸ்டிக் குவாலிட்டி. பாட்டில் ஹோல்டர் ரொம்ப சின்னது. ஸ்டோரேஜ் கு கம்மி இடம் தான். பின் பக்க சீட்டிங் லெக் ரூம் கம்மி. நிறைய விஷயத்துல கோவம் தான் வரும் இவ்ளோ விலை கொடுத்ததும் நல்ல features இல்லையே னு. இவ்ளோ பிரச்சனை இருந்தும் இந்த காரை 8 வருஷமா ஓட்றதுக்கு காரணம். பிக்கப் தான். லாங் டிரைவ் ல கொஞ்சம் கூட lag ஆகாம ஓட்டலாம். டிரைவர் சீட் ல உக்காந்தா , இருக்கறதுலயே பெஸ்ட் கார். பின் சீட் ல உக்காந்து போறவங்க கொஞ்சம் கஷ்ட பட்டு தான் ஆகணும். நான் அடுத்த கார் வாங்கறதுக்குள்ள மாருதி இன்னும் பாதுகாப்பான நல்ல அம்சங்களுடன் கூடிய ஒரு காரை அறிமுகப்படுத்தி விடுவார்கள் என்று நம்புகிறேன்.

I am sorry but I don’t know why ppl keep making the same mistake of falling for tin can cars like swift. It’s basically wasting your hard earned money. Safety has to be the number one priority. Granted we can’t do nothing about certain accidents and it’s impact but why put yourself in danger line buying these cars? Altroz would have been better. For this money he could have also bought polo comfortline which has excellent build quality.

Very honest review, exactly Maruti Suzuki is taking advantage of selling and deteriorating the built quality day by day. In fact Maruti Suzuki has very good brand reputation and it should focus to improve quality and safety standards to keep their reputation, rather concerned about only profit margin.

Why bother. Moreover I said even tata vehicles as they are so called demi God in safety here but they do not have any model with more than 2 air bags. Hence they too will get zero there. If you want to fight please fight with the Latin NCAP people. Since you are here tell me what rating will these cars have "The protection offered to the driver and passenger’s head and neck was good. Driver’s chest showed marginal protection and passenger’s chest showed adequate protection. Driver and passenger’s knees showed marginal protection as they impact dangerous structures behind the facia. The bodyshell was rated as unstable and it was not capable of withstanding further loadings. Footwell area was rated as unstable. The vehicle has standard SBR for driver and passenger. The car has standard ABS." And " The protection offered to the driver’s and passenger’s head and neck was good. Driver’s chest showed weak protection while passenger’s chest showed adequate protection. Agree swift engine is good, punchy, 4 cylinder - if you drive with in city and your top speed will be max 80... - swift is the best car... But But even you are an occasional highway driver please note indian roadways changed... Average driving speed increased... In a city rash drive speed will not cross more than 100 some ond comes in or another vehicle comes in the panic brakes applies will drop the speed from 100 to 80 atleast. But it is not in the case of highway drive.. Any vehicle drive at 80kmph it is safe but what we are doing we are maintaining average 100 to 120 kmph Car weight plays a major role, Car is not having enough weight how the speed will get controlled... Even if it accidentally hit the bike also.. Car will destroyed in sec and it is possible to hit us also.. Car is a luxury thing and expense for a common person... Same price when some one is giving with safety why can't we prefer that. Road noise.. Common in four cylinder. Drive 70 to 80 it will be ultra smooth... Or install nice audio system you will never hear road noise... Question to maruthi - why they are reducing the weight of the car What stopping them to provide a well build car... Accept it if they increase the build quality their profit margin will reduce - when people was not aware about it they will sell like this.. Please note tata beats hyundai and it is in second place... But the gap between the 1 and 2 is more... In future tata beats maruthi at that time they will increase the quality of the car build. Still that sorry to say maruthi swift owners you are all sheep

I am planning to buy my first car but am confused about choosing this Honda City 5G , Honda Amaze , verna ( but it has cruise control only in the top end ). Tata tigor is also in my mind, but I am not sure about the comfort. I know it's good in safety and maintenance, but I always hear that honda with petrol will be top notch, but I am afraid about the maintenance and service cost My expectations are petrol car , safety, comfort, and mileage, but I'm not sure which one to choose. I heard that the hyundai service and maintenance cost will be higher than honda is that true ? So please suggest this Also, I heard that honda City 5G petrol with the millage of 21 km in Highway is that possible company itself claims 18 km ? Also, Gov is planning to introduce the E20 project, which is nothing but mixing 20% ethanol in petrol. If that happens, petrol prices will reduce, and the price will be 70 Rs 😀 . I hope that above cars will support E20 pgm, right ?

I own ecosport 3 cylinder engine. Slight vibration only when we start the engine and then its very smooth. Especially when the engine idle after highway trip you may not notice whether engine is on of off condition.

Please don't spread misinformation. Zero star for Swift was in Latin ncap testing in which neither of the Tata cars participated. If so the result would be zero for Tata Nexon as well due to the stringent testing protocols followed in Latin ncap. Also there are discrepancies in Swift's 2 star ncap rating itself because if you read the documentation for the test results you could see some flaws because the same platform baleno and ignis scored three stars but the swift only scored two stars.
