I love how each of them has its own unique body build. The sea combiner is bulky and large so it can withstand the pressure in the ocean just like a submarine. The land combiner is tall and strong so it can easily build or destroy buildings just like an excavator. The air combiner is sleek and aerodynamic so that it goes at extremely fast speeds just like a jet

It's only because it's a child's toy. While Takara Tomy is willing to adopt movable joints and deformation/combination, Bandai is strict about safety standards and, although not as strict as Hasbro, is also picky about manufacturing costs.

Okay so interesting I could see all three of these things in different media: The sea duo in all of there forms look like they could exist in Blue Submarine 6, with like the mecha being a last resort experimental weapon kinda thing The land duo remind me of the construction bot from Big O, and you could even imagine their fusion being a rebuilt and retrofitted version meant for combat this time around The sky duo as jets looks kinda like planes that could exist in a revamped SWAT Kats cartoon, like how Thundercats got its on version a few years back As for their mecha fusion, that slender build reminds me of many enemy characters out of Bionicle interestingly enough Like the ones used in the first movie
