In this talk from February 23rd 1982, Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja explains how Gaura consciousness automatically includes Kṛṣṇa consciousness plus much more. He discusses the verse, ‘kṛṣna-līlāmṛta-sāra” from Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Madhya-līlā, 25.271 and states that gaura-līlā may be seen as the ultimate source because it is eternal. He also explains how Kavirāja Gosvāmī compares the devotees to clouds who extract the water of gaura-līlā and distribute it like rain to the fallen souls.
