Venomm12 that’s excellent! My AP U.S History High School teacher showed us this film and it does help you understand how everyone must have felt especially if the characters are the same age as the students

Definatly underated...I probly should not go here but my daughter saw the the movie The boy in striped pajamas in school, wanted to rent it I had know idea whtat it was about...so sad but maybe this movie also should be shown in school....anyone else???? A definate part of history...

where did you get the music for this? I've been looking for this version for a while and they don't have it on itunes, or anywhere else I've looked and it's one of my favorite swing songs, so i'd love to have it.

In 1993, I worked at a theater 🎭 and I met a woman who was a swing kid, in 1930's. She was sent a work camp, and was there until 1945.

Does anyone know if there is an instrumental versio of this version of this track (ie the swings kids versio but withiut vocals? ) im not after the 'andrews sisters' version, but this version without vocals. Cant find it anywhere Btw to the person asking where to find the std (with vocals) version, there is an album on itunes, i think i found it under "swing kids motion picture sound track" which has this and the other tracks from the movie...so thats where you can buy a copy... Its a great movie and soundtrack. Both well worth the spend.

Zu gern hätte ich mal mit echten Swing Kids (eigentlich Swing Heinis den Ausdruck Kids gab es gar nicht) gesprochen. Als Plattensammler würd ich zu gern mehr über die Zeit erfahren wo meine Platten herkommen als mir das Internet bis jetzt sagen kann.

You're spelling it wrong. You're spelling it the Germanized way, as opposed to the original Yidish version's name of 'Bei Mir Bistu Schoen', so the 'Schon' should have an umlaut, like this: ' Schön '.

It's Yiddish, not German. Yiddish used to be spoken by millions in Europe, especially Germany. But for some reason there are almost no Yiddish speakers in Germany anymore. Can you explain to me why that is?
