No need for any software mods or updates the computer will still tell the actuator to open and close and it will operate as normal just without the flaps in place

Mine has just done 160k and removed mine a few weeks ago no sighn of damage on mine but when I went to un do the tiny t5 screw on each flap the screw shattered so it wS proberbly ready for going

If you don't remove the swirl flaps they can fail and fall into your intake and destroy your engine, the down side is that low end torqu can be lost due to fuel and air not mixing as well, real world driving their is no differance

Swirl flaps are only made to reduce emissions at idle running. There won't be any difference in power output. If anything, the power output will increase if you have bad swirl flaps.

Dont need to code it after you remove them. I don't know about wich zise you need.

22mm on 2ltr diesel and 33mm on 3ltr diesel the flaps are bigger on 3ltr as the intake holes are bigger and their fore needs a bigger hole to allow the flap to go through

@@TopoIl12 i have the exact same engine mine is a 2007 but pre lci same horses and i already have had the manifold off for new plugs so shouldnt be an issue
