You looked to be doing a fantastic job. I wish you were a bit closer to East Lancs. I chose Swish DG windows for our semi around 30 years ago and have been very pleased with them. Now looking of a roofline replacement and DG for the house next door we have bought.

Great and very helpful video. Is the fascia being screwed into the cut upvc pieces rather than directly to the joists?

5:00..or, as in Safestyle UK's case, just run a bead of silicone along the back of the fascia and just sit the soffit on top of it.

How do you fit the back of the soffit?

Soffit placed above last course of brick.. Is this common? Most installations I see have the soffit mid way against the last course.. First option provides a convenient ledge for the board though?

Yes, depends on the height and if your Soffit can sit on top of the last course

My rafters are not as tall as the plastic fascia board. What do I do in this situation?

If you find asbestos, pull it down and put it in the bin before anyone sees it ! Don't let the council anywhere near it or it will cost you an arm and a leg to get rid of ! :D

Yes, and don't bother using dust masks or warning your neighbours; just choose a nice windy day to disperse all those nasty asbestos fibres while you smash it to pieces! And don't bother bagging it up; just drip feed it into your dustbin. I mean, refuse collectors are on a good wage so I'm sure their pensions will be able to afford a home oxygen set-up. Alternatively, you can not be a twat. :-)

Ridiculous advice ..proper companies surveyors do asbestos sample tests and send them off for the results ..This way the home owner has piece of mind and will be told before hand of any need for removal..by a registered firm and additional cost

@@stealthwolf6369 nah cost too much. I'd rather sling it in the back of the sprinter and fly tip it
