David West was still one of the best big men in the league in the low post and McGee was a serious upgrade from Ezeli at the backup who had also just come back from a long injury in the Finals when Bogut went down. Pachulia was also tough and would help them to be able to bang with Cleveland. Had Barnes re-signed with the team I don't think he would've been as quiet two Finals straight (he really was almost ineffective the entire playoffs that year and might have been dealing with an injury or fatigue because his play was just off the entire postseason) Personal opinion, the Warriors were coming back stronger either way...

DWade was closer to LeBron than Curry is to him.
