Жыл бұрынSwitchback at ZDT's Amusement Park in Seguin, Texas is currently the world's only shuttle wooden roller coaster. Built by the Gravity Group, this wood coaster takes up an incredibly small footprint and includes a steep drop, airtime hills, and even an overbanked turn. The ride even passes through a former grocery store, as it completes the course both forwards and backwards.

@@CanobieCoaster To be honest, it's very inconsistent. It's had some fairly rough rides (not terrible), and other times I was shocked how smooth it was. And that was all on the same day! It depends on how many people are in the train.

I love Gravity Group chain lift sounds way better than GCI’s clickety clack GG sounds original of the oldies

Did anyone else noticed the split and cracked wood going up the lift? Looks like maintenance don't take care of it

No I didn’t notice it boards constantly need replaced on Wooden coasters even steel coasters need track pieces replaced from time to time

Great ride! Loved this coaster going forward and loved the spike. Admittedly, did not like the two back to back tight banks going backwards. Even still it’s sitting at #9 on my top 10 list.

If you look at this park on Google Earth, you'll see what a stretch it was for them to put this one-of-a-kind coaster there.

Okay, I know the chances of it happening are a million to one. But, can something please be added to the top of the ramp to stop in the case of the train going to high. It only takes one time for there to be an issue with this coaster. It is a great ride I am sure!

The spike is taller than the lift, so the train can't go higher (not enough potential energy).

I personally don’t think this is a true shuttle coaster, as it doesn’t have an entirely incomplete layout with two dead ends (like Mr. Freeze, Vekoma Boomerang, Shuttle Loop, etc.). Similar situation with Palindrome at Cotaland. I think this should be classified as a “semi-shuttle” coaster.

Am I seeing trims after drop? Already? I guess because it's gotten too rough? Typical GG? Geez I really need to ride leviathan before it's like this LOL. Apparently GG have some sort of pre fab track now that is supposed to be very smooth. Will be looking forward to a coaster using it.

Yes and no. There are brakes there, but they are for the return run to slow it at the end.
