Love it!! To get rid of that clearance issue use some washers as spacers to make the seats tilt into the cab 2mm washer on each part will do it just fine

Honestly I’d recommend replacing the seatbelts the newer ones are more comfortable plus they are safer

You can't just replace them as far as I'm aware. You'd have to have a whole new hardware setup in this truck because the extended cabs have specific retractors that are hidden behind the rear panels.

I did the MR2 seats in my '89 S10 very similarly. They were initially a little higher than I'd like, but after sitting in it, the position is great for resting my arm on the window sill.

Lexol is great on steering wheels! I had an auction car with a lot of grime on the wheel, and Lexol managed to remove all that grime! Definitely a great product hands down.

Hey buddy! Thats looks phenomenal! I do own 1996 S10 single cab with 4.3 V6, it's maroon, lower by 2 inch front, and 3 inch rear. 20 inch 2012 Camaro SS rims. Maybe one day, I probably will change seats to leather style. Keep up the great work!

Ooof.... Been wanting to add a bit of Chrysler to my old '82 El Camino since i am from a Mopar family. Just wasn't sure WHAT I would want to do... After seeing this, maybe I might start looking for some Crossfire seats! Gotta say, it'd be a very nice upgrade over the factory bench. XD

Very nice job. Good creative upgrades. I like the idea of the two tone. I think I would put in new black carpet then keep all the vinyl / plastic trim in the maroon color. Otherwise excited to see how it turns out. Have you decided what color you are going to paint it?

I enjoy the 2 tone on the truck. If the Crossfire seats don’t work over time, doubt that they won’t work forever but who knows, try getting 2nd gen S-10/Blazer/Jimmy/Bravada leather seats. They may be hard to find but ik some crew cab S10s had them and don’t doubt the SUVs didn’t

Hi, Crossfire owner here - don't laugh, they are not as bad as everyone thinks! Anyhoo, the heated element, especially on the base is notoriously weak. Just pressing your hand on the seat base to hard can tear the wires out. Just something to be aware of. The cables under the leather are too tight. There are obviously workarounds that I suggest you get your upholsterer to look at to slacken those wires off. The heated seats are pretty good when working correctly. Keep up the good work.

Idk why anyone would laugh lol, I think they’re quite comfortable for a “sporty” seat! I saw that about the heating elements. Hopefully these are ok considering how nice they are, but if they don’t work, I’ll just leave them be I suppose haha. I saw the video of the guy who repaired them, pretty gnarly job!

nice job seats look amazing.......here is an idea use the cassette tape holder in the counsol and put power door lock switches n there ...and install power windows.....

GMC Typhoon steering wheel, 2nd Gen Blazer center console, Oldsmobile Bravado Door inserts, Blazer ZR2 rear axle, Monte Carlo Wheels and, Chrysler Crossfire seats. Dang, so close to being wholly GM 😄

I got seats out of a 1987 Mercedes 190 to temporarily replace the destroyed seats in my 944. $60 for the pair and they are very very comfortable.

Paint those rails! Also when you upholster the seats, keep the black but add red cloth inserts to match the original red and give a nice look! Also, what’s the plan with that tired headliner?

I said I was in the video. I'm not reupholstering mint condition seats. I simply said I'd like to replace the logo part with a piece that has a chevrolet or s10 logo embossed in it. I'm replacing the headliner of course.

I showed it in the video, just connected power and ground wires to a battery. I'll wire it properly later.

For the head rest you could do a Chevy bowtie bigger in size and then have them put S 10 inside of the Chevy bowtie I just gave up what I was doing to mine but that’s fine with me I think it would look pretty sweet you should have them do they and bossing in red well do the Chevy bowtie and the S 10 and red I am doing my S 10 and old English writing though I am from Detroit so it only fits LOL

That Crossfire seats would've been SEM'd with burgundy. What I mean by SEM'd is by recoloring the leather with SEM.

I’m taking a break from car reviews. I really don’t enjoy doing them as much as I used to. Right now, I have more interest in learning new skills and working with my hands. I’m sure after our house gets finished and life starts getting back to normal, I’ll be able to re-introduce them to some degree.

I have a question. I’m planning on, I guess you would call it, a restoration or upgrading my 93 S10 as a retirement project. I rather put a few thousand in my 93 S10 with the 4.3 liter engine, than buy a new truck. My question is, if I remove the bench seats. Will bucket seats from a late 80’s or early 90’s S10 Blazer bolt directly in? I’d like to install the center console too. If anyone has done this seat swap. I’d like some feedback.

Could you not just push the centre console farther forward to both engage the mounts and close that gap in the front of the cab?

There’s a trim panel that goes at the bottom of the dash that I don’t have installed at the moment, so it can’t sit anymore forward. Since it came from a different vehicle, modifications are to be expected, but it’s pretty close. It’ll look like factory when I’m done.

I’m burned out on reviews. It’s too much to try to juggle with the projects and trying to finish our house. The projects are a lot more satisfying at the end of the day. Actually getting to work with my hands and learn new things has been great. Maybe when life gets a little bit more streamlined, I’ll try to bring some back. I got too stressed out trying to juggle everything. I’m just focusing on doing things that make me happy at this time.
