I went from my bassani to my borla stinger catback! Watch til the end to hear a few aggressive sound clips of my exhaust setup!

Off road X and stingers on an 03-04 Cobra is heaven on earth. Literally the perfect exhaust I’ve ever heard on any car…yes I’m biased.

@@RJon2006 nice. I believe you - my main hesitation has been it seems like the Borla systems for some newer models (2012+) are little tamer than the systems for older cars. For these 2003/4 Cobras seems like EVERYONE loved those Stingers.

Stingers are the perfect exhaust IMO.. I have them on my 04 with a bassani catted X pipe and I get compliments on the sound all of the time. It's quiet when you are off the throttle but push the pedal and she screams.

I love my borla stingers! I wanted to go back to my bassanis but the more I drive it the more I love the way they sound! I also get a lot of compliments on the exhaust surprisingly

I had an 04 screaming yellow Terminator w/ Borla S w/ magnaflow Xpipe, 2.76 pulley, JLT cold-air, dyno-tune, and full bushing replacement…. I miss it so much while I’m driving my 2019 Camry ☹️. Was considering a 2020 S550, a Boss 302, or another Termi…. God I miss the Termi…. I want to take corners though. Like a Porsche cayman S……🤷🏼‍♂️

Sounds amazing, I love the stingers on mine. Good thing you found these used the stingers new are over $1,000 now. When I bought mine back in 2020 I believe they where $760. We will have almost the exact same exhaust set up once mine comes back from the shop this coming spring except I'll have cats on mine. The ARH's sound great

H pipe sounds lower tone vs x pipe higher pitch rasp but sounds good and good choice on the s type. Perfect tone!

I went with ataks over my magnaflow and love the way borlas sound. Great looking car, and now she sounds pissed! Also, if anyone looking for like new magnaflow, selling my catback in Southern Michigan for $450.

Sounds awesome. I actually switched from Stingers to Bassani 3". Both sound awesome but the Stingers are definitely more aggressive.

Car sounds great actually getting same set up done on mine right now - could you tell me your wheel set up in the rear what size spacers and wheel and if you had to roll fenders ? Only ask cause I love your cars stance it’s perfect not too wide but just enough !

My terminator has an off-road X and a set of stingers on it but I just bought the same set of ARH headers with the off-road 3” x pipe for it that I’ll be putting on it soon and I can’t wait. The way these cars sound with headers is outrageous lol. I just got them back from being ceramic coated last Friday.

@@loscar5oh headers definitely give it a fuller tone especially at wide open throttle! Glad I was able to hear it on video for once. Seems like most people run kooks on these cars.

@@loscar5oh I just wanted to give an update since I had my car retuned a couple weeks ago. This thing sounds incredible with the headers on it. Not quite as raspy as it would be with kooks. The ARH’s definitely have a cleaner tone. It sounds phenomenal lol. Expensive but worth it if you’re after that specific tone.

Sounds amazing!!!! I also have Borla Stingers on my Cobra. Quick question, what size long tube headers do you recommend going with? 1-3/4 1-5/8 or the 1-7/8 ARH headers.

Thank you! I'd ask your tuner what size he recommends for your setup. For me, I was told I didn't need to go any bigger than 1 3/4".

I got a video on it but basically wet sanding. start with a coarse sand paper and work your way day to a fine one

Thanks! Yea the bassani is a little deeper. The stingers were the closest thing to it as far as tone but just a little louder which was what I was looking for 😄

Hey man looks and sounds amazing! I’m Looking to do ARH longtubes . I’m undecided weather to do off-road x or cats. Is there a lot of rasp with the off-road ? Any drone? I’m afraid if I do cats it will be too quiet.

With the borla stingers I personally don't hear any rasp with the o/r x pipe. There is some drone but not too horrible. You won't regret doing long tubes!

Agreed stingers ftw ataks are for stock exhaust cars full free flowing exhaust should have stingers imo.

I have Kooks LTs + O/R X into a magnaflow catback on a 700 rwhp setup and I'm also trying to get more overall sound.... are the SLP LM1s more comparable to the Stingers or to the Ataks? I don't want overkill as you sound... let me know, thanks!

The stingers aren't overkill in my opinion. Overkill would be ataks which I've heard are comparable to the SLP lm1s. If you want a little louder, I highly reccomend these stingers. Or switch out your mufflers for the magnaflow magnapacks.

@@loscar5oh I’ve been sitting on my Ataks for around 6 months, trying to decide against them lol. I love the echo trumpet horn sound of the stingers and the mellowness if just wanting to cruise. I don’t like the clap though

I think they sound great and have that nice classic sound to it. I haven't heard one in person but im sure they are loud have have that hollow sound to them.

I had a 2000 gt with H pipe no cats n flowmaster it sounded real loud n clear now I want to know if in a cobra will be different or not? I know there's different choices on people's exaust..thanks.

I hold the same opinion about Corsa Extreme and Borla Atak: too much pure noise and not enough tone. The Corsa Sport and Borla S-type/Stinger systems are a bit in the other direction: less overall volume, but a much more pleasing tone. Borla Stinger is THE sound for an 03/04 Cobra, either with or without longtubes. Whenever I've been drawn to the chambered, constant underlying tone with sharper revs laid over it from a Cobra, it's always ended up being the Borla Stinger system. Absolutely perfect sound now.

That's exactly what I think about the loud systems. I love how chambered mufflers sound on terminators as well but stingers seem to be the sweet spot 🙌🏻

Yea the Bassani looks better but I don't really mind the borla tips. At first I was just going to swap mufflers but then decided to keep the entire catback to be the same and not mix parts and what not.

Got em on my 07 gt500 also paired with an O/R Hpipe it sounds menacing even with stock exhaust manifolds. I wanna go headers but I don't want a non O/R mid pipe so I need to find something used. I want some nice quality headers with a short O/R h I Def prefer h it makes it sound even deeper. I have a gen3r on mine doing 750+ to the wheel I gotta get some updated videos up. I have some videos of the exhaust and stuff when I was on stock blower with bolt ons I need to get some more up to date videos up. Stingers ftw. Ataks are for stock exhaust otherwise imo stingers sound better with a full free flowing exhaust.
