My favorite feture would be backwards compatibility

Things I want: -backwards compatibility -improved battery life -main menu theme -Eshop theme -virtual console -better controllers -messaging system -parties and voice chat -achievements -and more social services like miiverse and street pass

My number one feature is actually one I'm begging them to retain from the current gen: post-hoc video recording, that 30-second window you have to save video footage of your past gameplay. I think it's invaluable to the social media hype & discussion around games like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, but also Mario Kart. I still got footage of when I came in first in Mario Kart after trailing in 6th place until the last ten seconds of the game where I managed to surpass the one in first place mere inches before the finish line. You can't plan those kind of moments.

We should have paper instruction manuals with physical games. I miss those.

I want more streaming services on the Switch, the ones that stream independent films. I also want virtual console

Let's hope the Nintendo switch 2 still connects to big screen TVS. And of choice let's hope it has the PlayStation 5 games can integrated into Nintendo switch 2 like online games such genshin impact, phantasy star online 2 new Genesis, kingdom hearts 4 now that the Sora amiibo has finally been announced, and speaking of Sora amiibo they should also check to make sure amiibo data can still connect. And also cross platform, cross save and Connections too.

Corrections: 31: The Switch has a 720p screen. A 1080p screen would be an improvement over the current Switch. 58: The Switch has an SSD, but it's the old style. What you want is the new NVMe type of SSD.

Real must-haves are backwards compatibility with games and controllers AND continued support for physical games and I definitely wouldn’t downgrade to a non-OLED handheld screen so that should become the base model

It’s actually kinda funny cause if you slightly overclock the current switch through modding it fixes all current performance issues in games and you can also rob Totk in 60 fps with higher overclocking

I think they should have a feature where you can play all previous console games. Like Wii, Wii U, DS, 3DS, GameCube - or at least put all the games on Nintendo Switch Online, or the eShop.

they gotta make the switch more friendly, the switch is so bleak apart from the games, UI is sad, it's aesthetic is sad, e-shop is sad, lack of social features is sad... the switch is so bleak, i hope the next switch has more nintendo charm and feels more alive

This is why the Wii U could've been sold better if the marketing for it wasn't so bad cause everything we want for the next nintendo console was from the Wii U with voice chat,a social media platform like miiverse and even the nintendo Eshop theme was great and loading your Wii U was amazing seeing lots of other miis run down to a game. We SOOOOO need a Nintendo equivalent of Achievements and Trophies... I've always thought they could call it 'Medals', but after watching this video, I think stickers would be an awesome way of doing it!! The harder ones being holographic/shiny maybe!

I would really love something like achievements to come to switch 2. I mean how cool would it be if you can get bronze stars, silver stars & gold stars if you complete something in your game. Trophy/achievement hunting is getting a thing for much gamers these days

I honestly think that if the Nintendo, switch head backwards compatibility with Consoles that use discs like at least being able to plug in a third-party disk reader, that would actually be nice and also multiple slots so that you don’t have to constantly switch your game cards every time you want to play a game and instead. You can just switch between the inserted game cards

I'm not sure which is my favorite. However, if it has backwards compatibility, a headphone jack directly on the joycons, no more joycon drift, a projector dock, and xbox gamepass then I can safely say I would consider it an absolute victory, and I would gladly pay up to $700 for it!

Instead of a foldable screen, it should be a deployable screen from the top. You would be not required to use both screens.

Here's some more ideas for if you make a "100 More Things We Need On The Nintendo Switch 2" video: A "TATE-Con" which could be used for Nintendo DS NSO and vertical screen games. The ability to record your entire play-through of a game through a streaming feature without the need for any external attachments. Notebook/Notes features like the "Game Notes" on Nintendo 3DS. Wii games on NSO app. A pick up and play launch game that isn't 1-2-Cringe. Have "Missions" from from the Switch 1's NSO enhanced to become Nintendo's equivalent to Trophies and Achievements.

Different unique gimmick every Nintendo console since the Wii had a cool gimmick to it the Wii was extreme in motion controls and had a hand point as a cursor for the console instead of the traditional console, WiiU had a gamepad which could be played if for example someone else was using the tv, Switch is the first hybrid console

literally all I want is a hall effect joystick, these are the gold standard for quality (drift-resistant) joysticks these days. Or at a minimum, some serious improvements to their joystick design. That and an OLED-version, I think I heard that they were looking at launching without an OLED version (and presumably they'd add one later like they did with the switch). At this point though I don't see why they wouldn't include an OLED version in the initial launch :c Everything else mentioned in this video will be "nice to have" (or "obvious", in the case of stuff like "more powerful processor" for the next gen, lol) But those first two are the only must haves for me to commit to spending my money. I'll buy a switch the instant I can get one with better joysticks + OLED. (or AMOLED :D)
