This game would heavily benefit from either having a bunch of playable characters you can unlock from challenges and stuff, or cosmetics you can unlock from playing. IMO it would greatly increase the replay ability and give me a reason to grind the game over and over to collect cool outfits for each character. And it wouldn’t really require too much from the devs besides making a few outfits for each character. Imagine bowser/mario in his odyssey wedding outfit. Or DK in a tux hahah

I don't know about anyone else but I like to play as the monsters, like goombas, boos, and dry bones. So I would like to see blooper come back and I'd REALLY like to be able to play as a spiny! I love spinies! Also, just a regular piranha plant would be fun and I'm pretty sure Nintendo has a model they could use, since piranha plant is in Smash Bros. Just seeing the plant hopping around the board in its pot would be fun. 🙂

Considering how there is a 20 player mode and it seems like there can't be duplicates, I think there will be at least 30 characters but most likely 40

I never thought of the sprixies before, but now you mention it I can definitely see them being added. I just hope with the characters they have outfit options like you said, especially since in the trailer we see different coloured shy guys at one point!

To be fair with the koopalings maybe you could make a story mode you have 7 boards and koopalings so you could make a story mode about that you could have:

Basically, if they were on screen at all during the trailer they are "almost garentied" to be a playable character, 0% chance to be a npc or background character...
