When the Netherlands wins in 2019 and Switzerland finished in 4th, I have said that it was a good start for Switzerland and I hoped that they could win someday after many years of not qualifying, just like what the Netherlands did. Today, it has come true.

No joke, this year the swiss song was my favorite in the semi-finals, but usually when i pick a favorite, it either gets the win snatched from in front of its eyes, or gets put near last place. this year i got so happy that my fav song won, but also felt bad for Croatia for being so close after having so many years with bad placements

Switzerland meanwhile is another country that can say they were in every edition they could have been in. Yes, they may have been relegated, but they have never withdrawn since 1956. The others are Germany and Belgium. You deserved it this year, dear Swiss fans!

Switzerland struggled with the finals so much, then Luca Hänni came and placed fourth in 2019. Now 2024, Nemo won for Switzerland. Meanwhile, a couple of years ago, the Netherlands had the longest ever NQ streak. Then came Anouk and placed ninth. 6 years later Duncan Laurence took the win. Basically all the proof needed that changing tactics works xD

Even though my top two were Norway and Croatia, I'm glad Switzerland finally won again, They hosted Eurovision FIRST, they won Eurovision FIRST, and then, except for 1988, they were incredibly shafted. I know the Big Five is about economics (what isn't?), but does symbolism mean nothing anymore? Nemo, you have brought Eurovision Victory back to your country, and it is well deserved! Switzerland needed a win, and they got it!

Switzerland had great songs and musicians at esc… my fav’s are 1971, 1974, 1978, 1980, 1981, 1983, 1986, of course 1988 ❤, 1991, 1993, 2000 (seems Al Bano is in the Background 🤩), 2002, 2021, 2023 and 2024. From 2004 on I‘m not surprised so many songs failed to qualify 👀 except 2010, 2013 and 2017… they‘re not that bad in my opinion. But all in all it seems I loved the great ballads and melodic songs from former times more than I like todays modern music 🤷🏼‍♂️😅
