Zambia made quite some mistakes in the defense in this game, but played better against Germany. If they improve further, they might get far in the world championships. Offense is strong. I expect them, however, to get into trouble against defensive technically skilled teams like Japan and Corea.

Two of the 3 goals of Switzerland were the fault of Margaret Belemu, our right full back. She left her position on the first goal, and was way out position on the second goal. Her effort was luckluster because she would give up and watch the Swiss race forward. I think that the other 3 defenders, Martha Tembo, Agness Musesa and Lushomo Mweemba deserve better than what they got. The 3rd Swiss goal was a clear offside

If the player does not make an attempt to play the ball they are not offside. It's a change that came in (I can't recall when) but was reminded when watching Manchester United playing recently and the same thing happened.

Magaret Belemu (with the white scarf holding down her wig-) is way up, Dani Alvez style, way out of position, when this ball is kicked past her, and Agnes Musesa is forced to go and do her job in the right corner. Meanwhile, Belemu stops and watches and the ball is passed by Musesa, and then by Susan Banda, who having tracked back, gives an unconvincing effort kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qbqoaLOY0pzckXU.html There are several things that concern me which are 1) Rachel Kundananji's pursuit of personal goals, and when I hear her talking about them, I can see why she was dropped from the team before 2) the selfishness of Xiomara Mapepa, who sometimes thinks only of personal glory. I think that Martha Tembo, Agnes Musesa and Lushomo do their best. I think Margaret Belemu is capable, the coach needs tell her to stop dribbling in the back, and to just pass or kick the ball away. She also needs guard her part of the field. As for Susan Banda, I wonder what would have happened had Irene Lungu not been hacked out of the game by the crude and thuggish Alisha Lehman
