Soft boots carving is now trendy worldwide! It comes from alpine snowboarding and the popularization of extremecarving by Swoard since 2002 with specific wide alpine boards. A new discipline with a big evolution from what was called eurocarving or the (frontside) Vitelli turns. Board technologies have also evolved a lot since the nineties. Everything is cyclic! We are back to excitement of making great turns, what is the essence of snowboarding.

Yes, I was just kidding. Just read someones speculation about a pre-cut apple and now everyone knows that it is blasphemy ;-) I know the other two videos already and would love to have the same fruit salad.

This is the EPDM material, very resistant and especially ultra slippery ... This material has been diverted from its usefulness 1st, it is used in the building for waterproofing roofs ... Gloves are also made with this product

They are custom made... Not in shops. But you can find various materials or glues to reinforce your gloves.

Clothes are a problem indeed ;-) But we reinforce the weak parts with Polyglut (which is normally used to repair the wetsuits), or Sykaflex, or with materials like EPDM (used in the building for waterproofing roofs).

Many events are organized in Europe, as the famous "ExtremeCarving Session" (16th session in 2019), and even in Japan (2nd ExtremeCarving Camp from Feb 28 to March 2).

@@6Skaid6 Even with a door it is possible to make one laid turn ;-) But for linking the laid turns with fluidity, especially on the steep and the ice, it is much easier to use a board designed for this (width, specific construction, tests by the best specialists, etc.). Swoard has won big reputation with its original extremecarving board and a different ride technique.

See for example this animated GIF: www.extremecarving.com/attachments/EC-Patrice-Fivat-Animation.gif And most of the videos in the channel kzfaq.info , especially the famous Opus 1 to 4 made from 2001 to 2004: kzfaq.info/sun/PLDTF2AO3y-ldQ-H9ni4AlpZ6XuJ4mpUJ1 . The EC founders created the name "extremecarving" for their recognisable technique (based on rotation technique and what they called "push-pull"), explained on www.extremecarving.com , but above all for the fact that they LINK (= associate) their fully laid turns, what was never seen on backside (and still not seen on 99% of softboots riders). This started a new trend in Europe, then in Russia , USA and finally Asia. Now carving is also trendy with softboots.

@@stancenter No, the video with Seb is with softboots. Funcarve is saying and writing that they learned from us on www.extremecarving.com and from www.swoard.com . Special thanks for their tribute! They are our friends (especially the boss Sasha) and they came to some of our famous ExtremeCarving Sessions (this season we made the 18th edition!!) with many other Russian riders. For once, we don't show many transitions in this video, because this is not the purpose here. As well as all the other recent videos and the films of our events. We are happy that carving is trendy again, after so many years promoting and improving this discipline. We do lay down in the steep too, what is a main difference with all the recent videos over Internet, shot on blue slopes (and often showing only isolated frontside turns made in counter-rotation on the elbow).
