I have nothing against english dub I just watch witht he original japanese audio because in my opinion has originality and suites the characters more since anime is japanese. However, if I'm not watching sword art online(which takes place in Japan), I might be fine with watching dub. But no matter how much I try to watch dub it just seems wrong to me but that's because I'm used to the subs. I want to fluently learn Japanese so I don't have to read the subtitles. However, it has improved my reading velocity and I wish I would just suck it up and watch the dub so that I can watch videos like these without feeling like dub is terrible which it isnt! i guess my brain is just tricking me. But honestly I love japanese culture so much.

Nat guzman That's usually the case of what happens when one watches the subs first. At the same time, it might also be a bit of a "learning" thing to shut off certain filters that causes it, though that theory is still up in the air for me. Just as a side note, learning Japanese fluently is going to take a lot of time if what little I know of it is true (then again, the same could be said of all languages). Either way, good luck on it. Also, it's your opinion about preferring the subs over dubs. It's just a method of watching (and why most anime dvd's comes with both options). And I appreciate it that you're also not trying to shit on people like us who likes dubs. As long as you're not one of those "English dubz suxorz! All who watch dubz must convert or die!", you're cool in my book (same in the reverse too, as I appreciate subs; especially in the cases where a dub doesn't exist/is truly bad enough that even my mental filters can't block it out).

Omfg I WAS THERE!!! Well, not at the panel but I was at the Ax Mime Expo. It wS my first time at a Expo/Convention and insead if going to Panels we stayed in the f*cking shoeing center the whole time!!!!! Such a waste of time.....Besides, I had no choice, I was with a family that took me there......f*ck....

2 Years later it's 2017 and people still think that they're superior for watching subs instead of dubs. I honestly have no clue why so many people cry about dubs still. I prefer dub because it's really hard for me to just sit down and focus on something without using my phone, and I can't really multitask if I'm reading subs, plus I love the thrill of recognizing a voice actor from another anime/game, which is super hard to do with subs @_@
