It’s not the blaster itself that has that lifespan, it’s the Tibana gas and power cell. The power cell can be swapped quickly, the Tibana gas cannot

150 to 300 shots per magazine might as well be unlimited shots for our reality.

thats why duel wield is so strong, just plat hyper aggressive and parry any attempt to fight back

One full size blade, the other is a Shoto blade.

It might have a somewhat similar weight and balance. I'm almost certain that a Lightsaber blade weights near to nothing.

Eh, probably more like a smallsword or a spadroon. Rapiers weren't actually light, it was later swords that cut down on the weight a lot.

Mentioned this in another comment but, pretty sure lightsabers get their "weight" from force energy based on the intention of the wielder.

Indeed, if you imagine it more as a beam of light or plasma that just happens to cut anything it comes into contact with - it seems a bit silly to go into this "heavy longsword" stance and make heavy swings, when quick cuts and slashes would be just as devastating.

Tanto? That being said, Sword and dagger was also very much a thing in Europe. Especially in dueling settings. That's one of the most interesting aspects of the history of fencing the world over: regardless of the weapons (which are mostly similar regardless of where you are on the globe), we have have the same mechanics when it comes to another piece of the puzzle: our bodies. What works works, what doesn't gets discarded. There's no 200 ways about wielding a piece of steel with sensibly the same function as another. There's a lot in common between most martial arts independently from one another. Edit: this made me think of an interesting tidbit regarding SW in particular: how did alien bodies and the way they function influence their martial arts? We develloped our martial arts knowing our limitations and function, but also that of the opponents, similar to our own. Fighting an individual with entirely different articulations, number and or size of limbs, height... would very much ask for new ways to fight.

The dual wielding stance, double bladed is the staff. Just to clear the confusion on the names.

It's not really about the weight, but handling a lightsaber is described as trying to control a firehose, you have to fight against the energy from the blade

It's actually that weight of a blade that allows for the momentom of the flurrying and swinging. so there has to be some kind of weight to the blade

IIRC there is a slight gyroscopic effect on the blade field that keeps it from handling like a weightless beam coming out of a short handle.

He brings up historical european martial arts, which...absolutely does bring everything out armor and all.

He's fought in armour more times than you've had intelligent thoughts. Not that it's a high bar.
