This is a quick but detailed guide that should help you decide which item type you should use on melee. I didn't go into too many specifics because I wanted this video to have good pace so I hope you enjoy. (Like and sub, I'm almost at 5,000)

This is a work in progress, but over the coming weeks I want to remove almost all of the barriers to entry for making RotMG content. There are hours of "busy work" that go into content creation and instead of everyone having to go through this drag instead I will have a single place where everything you could ever need would be in one place! I will also be providing editing help as well as useful links for improving your workflow!
All of this will remain entirely FREE as long as I am able to maintain it. At some point I may give special access to KZfaq Members to get unreleased content/resources but these will be things like advanced animations and project files to help them learn.

with enchantments you have a few options i haven't fully explored range upgrades for the sword non-boomerang enchant for flail ( projectiles linger like basher) and dps. havent really tried any enchants but range

With the enchantment change still on the horizon I didn't want to say anything that could become incorrect within a couple months. Great comment though and def worth being seen!

Flails can be better than swords on single target dps for shit like say the forgotten king, because it moves so slowly you’re able to follow it around to maximize the outpit

True, I did know about situations like that and I even had it included in my initial script (same thing applies to worm mother) I couldn’t figure out a good way to articulate it though without hurting the pace of the video.

I hope alt weapons are balanced when the realm rework drops because most of them are almost useless. But the flail seems actually good if you don't have Divinity.

something id love to point out is that flails are the only items in the game that have a changed RoF but don't say so in the item tooltip, seems kinda weird and surprised deca hasn't fixed yet. also bc of this the dps calc may be unreliable bc it is for burst weapons. pretty sure it isn't for flails tho.

I did a YT short on warrior, but I don’t think it’s the right format for talking about classes. I will be doing a class guide soon though… just probably not one you’d expect.

Gotta say, while i love the option of alternate weapons, im a firm believer of the flail being the only good alternate weapon, with longbows in second place. Every other alternate weapon just feels like a major disappointment when i get it dropped.

I really agree, and that’s the main reason I made this. With the flail there’s an actual discussion to be had. It seems really likely that comparisons on the other items wouldn’t do too well.

@@TSPage let's see... Spellblades are handicapped wands, morning stars are unusable, even if the enemy is Armor broken, the blades are suffering the same fate as daggers, and the tachi are... meh, better than nothing, but since muramasa drops like candy from o1, it once again has no real reason to exist. Longbows are the only other sidegrade that's good, because bard's ability perfectly synergizes with the converging shots of the longbow.

Hopefully you can use this info to make your equips as suboptimal as possible! Just try not to get suspended for being under reqs, I know that would really ruin your day.
