Moved to Swords in 1983 and love it still. What a beautiful place it is. Super friendly people and lovely sights when you go walking.

What a great place Swords was. I grew up there in the late 80’s, early 90’s. Fantastic times, it’s fascinating seeing some of the old place as they were.

It hit hard when they mentioned the plans for swords Castle and even in 2021 its not fully restored.

I'm what you would call a blow in,originally from Coolock.Bought a House in Glasmore Park and have 3 young kids here now 2 of them only babies so they will all be Swords Originals..We love Swords....Not all blow ins are bad

I'm born and bred here, my father is born and bred here, his grandfather is born and bred here. I'm mid 40's I don't class Coolock as blow ins......I think you know what he was saying. I knocked about coolock most my teen life and into town. Swords has become a shithole now. There are lovely areas but as a whole its a kip. No community anymore, that being said we can say that about most areas now. Like you notice the changes in Coolock now to 80's 90's more than most as you lived it
