@@tannermcguire7713 Yeah dude is still legit he has a family now a wife and little girl he’s doing pretty good. He will always be a BMX rider. I grew up at this kid since grade school and he’s like a brother to me he’s a solid dude

The seat is joined to the post by a single bolt that is hidden within the seat. Access to it is through that top hole. It was a patented release in 2002 or 2003 (i can't remember). It is a lighter and stronger design that the typical 2 rail design of previous. People surprisingly used to bend their seats a lot then!
