Hats off to the Puerto Ricans for bringing this to the states and elsewhere. This is the greatest cultural gift in the world.You folks were born dancing! What's great is you have a dance style that's foundationally beautiful, and even us seniors can dabble with nice variations , without looking utterly stupid at it. Fun and therapeutic.

Salsa ritmo is originally mostly from Cuba. But Puerto Ricans had so many global hits on it and created that Mambo Style of Dancing you see here instead of the simpler basic side to side style original from Cuba. Cubans used to dance it also Free Style. PR did so many great creations that are enjoyed all over the world last 60 years..

Yes, and it keeps your joints literally well lubricated (salsa in particular). Yola Montalvan this salsa dancing is beautiful flatshod, or in heels. I hope you dance through the years. It's the "happiest" dance style in the world. 👌

It is SO much more fun to watch this than to watch "ballroom" salsa dancers! Social dancing is so much more honest, so free, so truly energetic.

Lo mejor de aqui, con respeto de los bailadores, es la musica. La verdad es que nunca habia visto bailar Salsa NY con musica cubana Timba porque ya lo hacian con el Son antiguo con sonido a NY.

Son muy negativos, todos son muy buenos bailadores, yo soy latino caribeño y Tambien bailador, y se de muchos latinos que no saben ni siquieran los pasos basicos. I love the real dances rather than their ballroom versions as well. The other ones are so stuffed up, they honestly don't transmit any emotions to me.

Se aprende muy rapido, en 1 o 2 años aprendes lo basico y despues simplemente añades figuras y variedad y asi queda tan bien :)

Isaac depende mucho del interés que pongas de tu parte.He sido testigo de personas que en menos de un año han llegado a bailar mejor que las personas que aparecen en este video (lo cual no es dificil, teniendo en cuenta la falta de sabor o cadencia)

mi opinion coincide con algunos comentarios que he leido aqui, la salsa no es solo dar vueltas y vueltas como un trompo. es tambien saber llevar a tu pareja, no veo el sabor y el mambo que tiramos los latinos. las vueltas son importantes en la salsa y se ven muy bien en el momento indicado y en la cantidad precisa, pero vueltas vueltas y mas vueltas no se.......

This is also Salsa. They are dancing Cross Body style Salsa. Maybe you are thinking about Cuban Salsa or Dominican Salsa? Salsa can be danced in many different ways and using different timings as well.

La forma de bailar no me cuadra con la música me gusta mas cuando ahí menos vueltas y mas combinación con los pies eso si es de lujo. Claro se le respeta su estilo .
