Almost a year later since I watched both of them develop into the people and creators they are (especially Sykkuno) and I’ve seen some things about their friendship that either some people overlook or it’s just my observations. I truly think that Sykkuno liked and still likes Rae romantically; however, he never wanted to say it out loud because he knows for a fact that she doesn’t feel the same way about him. The signs are there, from the simple banter to the slightly affectionate jokes and compliments that Sykkuno gives to Rae; and let’s not forget their insane streaming chemistry together. Early on, I would even see their friends (from the Offline TV friend group) sort of ship them as well. I feel like everyone in their friend group felt like there could be something between them, which is what the audience also felt at the time, it’s a natural feeling. However, I think that as time went on, the false speculations, shippers, and overall demand for a forced relationship squandered any chance of these two being together romantically. Rae and Sykkuno felt completely and rightfully uncomfortable. I think that Sykkuno still likes Rae but he is scared to tell her or even mention it to his stream because many people will go crazy and it will even dig a bigger hole for himself and the situation. I also think that Sykkuno values their friendship so much that he doesn’t want to mess it up at all, as it is too precious to lose. Idk but that’s my observations on the whole situation a year later.
