@Ray Be kind to others, it goes a long way agree. but in fairness to the current boxing landscape, careful matchmaking has been around since the golden age of the sport. and i can understand that. it's still business. promoters have to create excitement. they have to marinate fights or manicure careers of marketable fighters to generate more buzz. it's not right for purists but understandable. no boxer would profit much without these kinds of marketing ploys. both go hand in hand. it is what it is. as far as mainstream, depends on your definition. mayweather, pacquiao, canelo rake in more money and attention than most sports. definitely much higher than its rival sport, ufc and comparable to nba, nfl etc. in general, yes, not as followed but high profile fights can still be considered mainstream, i believe. 😀

@@SomethingThatSCREAMS it's funny because storyline-wise Rocky was supposed to have been the same size as he was in I & II. Storyline-wise, it wasn't until after training with Apollo did he slim down so much. Notice how the commentators never even mentioned Rocky's weight loss until his rematch against Clubber? And notice how most of the magazine covers of Rocky in the opening montage had him the same size as in I & II?
