She also so had the unique ability to make an Opera sound like an Oratorio AND to make an Opera sound like it was written by Sir Edward Elgar !!

OH! I love it. I have the highlights of this delightful recording but not the complete. I do, however, have the complete Capitol TROVATORE with the same cast. Sawyer certainly set a standard, didn't she? Both are true recorded treasures. Thanks for posting this.

What a shame. It was basically a very good voice. “Eeeo stesso...low juh tie”...Classic. This is from Marston’s CD “The Muse Surmounted.” Madame Sawyer’s Amneris was abridged “for your listening pleasure.” The entire CD is s hoot, the brainchild of Gregor Benko.
