I wouldn't call Daredevil blind, just one with godlike senses who does not need eyes because of that. However, anyone bragging about overpowering Daredevil is just plain bragging about punching-down. He's a blind guy with every single sense so enhanced that vision would actually inhibit him... he's a walking sensor who can do martial arts and stunts. That's like Tony bragging about beating the Punisher, Toad, Wolverine, Captain America, or any of Marvel's ninja teams. I mean, c'mon!

He sees it via echo-location, thermal perception, instincts, etc... his other senses or so monstrous in over-compensation that he isn't really blind... he just cannot see using his eyes. Calling him blind is like calling you blind for being the security guy who sees things using security cameras, seeing things indirectly. Typically, one like Daredevil is blind. Daredevil has senses that make visual blindless, not a really making him blind. I mean, using the lack of the ability to use one's eyes would make Destiny blind... but she is not because of her ability to make herself see the future a second or less in the future, so she's not blind at all either. Sightless would be a better word, but that would still be misleading because metahumans are involved, just a bit less. I comment to troll, just be a bit nerdy in perspective tweaking. My eyes are sh^t. I can see in MANY ways people who can see better cannot. I still consider myself blind compared to them. If I had Daredevil's other senses, I'd be super-stoked in being sightless to get them, my friend... and consider myself less blind than everyone on the planet who can actually see. My only sight advantage is that I can see in the dark better than anyone I know. Not quite an advantage for me since I became a law-abiding tax-paying square.

Without it being the OG inspiration for Tony Stark, RDJ, it just wouldn't be the same. Tom Cruise has the acting chops and mental damage (thanks to Scientology) to be maybe the 2nd best to pull that off. He'd probably dodge Tony Stark's story, like RDJ, with addiction like the plague... Tony Stark's only real weakness aside from his self-worship is his alcoholism.
