I believe that the greater splanchnic nerve 1) DOES raise hct [by contracting the spleen], 2) DOES raise epinephrine level [by stimulating the adrenal medulla], and 3) DOES increase blood glucose indirectly by stimulating digestion. So I guess the splanchnic nerves does NOT relax the pyloric sphincter since the splanchnic n is SNS and SNS only contracts. Am I close? I am glad the answer is going to be in the next video, because I had trouble finding that granularity of detail in the sources I used.

Thank you gorgeous Medicosis. Dr, you said that (ANS ALWAYS MOTOR & NEVER SENSORY ) , but ANS do have some sensory fibers (General visceral afferent ) that carry visceral information such as organ stretch, distention or pain (due to ischemia).

Hi I have a question: you say that blood pressure should increase in a fight or flight mechanism and so should the arterioles constrict… but should they not dilatate so that blood can reach the important organes more rapidly?

They constrict in most areas. They only dilate when they are supplying the heart, muscles, and few other organs. Overall, your total peripheral resistance increases.
