@@FunctionalJunkie_ I wouldn't say cancelled. They just literally ran out of material. Altered Carbon has only 3 books. The 1st season is book 1 (the book is way better btw, it goes a lot deeper) Season 2 ? eh... that's kind of a weird amalgamation of some events from book 2 and a thing from book 3 , but mostly is it's own thing. Book 3 just consists of people going crazy and slowly dying in a trench after a battle so that doesn't translate well to TV.

Unironically, I think Nic Cage is one of the best actors. He’s been in blockbusters for decades. He’s done artsy films. He’s had flops. He’s done low budget films. He seems like he’s always enjoying himself just being an actor. He’s not one of those egoistic, bloated pay scale marvel actors who yell and wave their hands infront of a green screen. He continuously stars in unique stories, and brings that classic Nic Cage passion every time. He’s a legend. A treat. An actor.

During the lockdown portion of the Pandemic, my roommate and I had a multi-bottle of wine night and a Nicolas Cage marathon. Moonstruck, The Rock, Con Air, Face/Off, Gone in 60 Seconds, Adaptation, National Treasure, Bad Lieutenant, Pig. He is one of the few true actors in the world. He can -- and has -- done it all. His characters all retain snippets of (what I assume is) his actual personality or crafted persona... but man, he could play a motorcycle headlight and make it compelling enough to watch.

If there wasn't a pause button, you'd be glued cause you could miss something huge in the movie. Nicholas cage really kicked ass the way he acted in this movie. Respect to him. Man's incredible with his acting abilities but then you wonder, "this may not be acting. This guy has wild sense of humour and he's really like that and just restraining himself in world."
