My 2007 dodge ram 1500 3.7l V6 it has a rattle when I take off & sometime when it’s idling down coming to a stop, it kinda sounds like thin metal rattling, I’m hoping it’s not my timing chain I don’t think it is because my truck runs great its super smooth at idle you can’t even feel it running & it’s got plenty of power it’s not sluggish at all, I’m trying to figure out what this rattle is, even when I remove the oil filter cap there no noise coming from inside the motor & there’s zero blow by, I’m just worries because my 2010 Silverado developed a lifter issue so I had to park it & buy this truck I use it for my auto glass business, I don’t wanna have to tear this motor down too & repair it I’m going to fix my Silverado soon so I can start driving it again & keep this dodge as a backup truck

A mechanic changed my son's 2000 Honda accord water pump , afterwards it couldn't start (the engine wouldn't turn over), then he changed the pully tensioner (messed that up) , is there anyway to tell if the valves are messed up since the car can't start.??
