My fuel pump rings like crazy and sometimes it has a lot of power and other times when l press the gas hard it’s slow it’s like lag but am not sure what it is l have a Kia optima 2013 lx

@@Doughhfinesser The hight pressure fuel pump has a Camshaft Tappet Roller, that is worn and needs to be changed.

Do you have a video on what the cause of a 2013 kia optima 2.4 gdi after the , fuel pressure switch , the high pressure fuel pump, the throttle body and the sensor 1 bank 1 02 sensor it still shows same oxygen sensor bad plus does run and dies

High pressure Fuel pump follower bearing is worn and causing noise as camshaft revolves. Replace the part for approx $ 150. If you ignore this it "will" cause severe engine damage.

my car is azera 2018 and it have problem of excessive fuel consumption during idling and short trips so help me how to fix it i change the sparks the coils put BG cleaner use liqued moily oils what can i do it consume too much fuel during idle SO PLS ANY IDEA

My ki ceed 1.6 gdi 2013 turns on like a charm. But can suddenly die especially when deceleration. When turned on, ignition works perfectly, but shifting the automatic transmission, it doesn't react at all. Revving works, and engine runs smoothly. But shifting into gears is not possibly. I have to shut down the car. Leave it for 20 seconds outside. Jump in, and everything works again. What is the problem. It is making me crazy

Has anyone had a misfire issue from one of the pumps going bad ?

Yes. I had a cylinder 1 misfire before and after swapping plugs and coils. I checked the in-tank fuel pump, and the strainer looks contaminated (very dark color as opposed to white/yellow). Generally, the car has no codes, but when under high acceleration, the engine loses power and throws a misfire code. No fuel related codes are shown. Even though this happens, it is possible there is a misfire due to a lean mixture causing detonation. This could either be the low pressure pump not supplying the high pressure pump with enough fuel due to either being weak, or the strainer being the restriction. That, or the high pressure pump is beginning to be faulty. No issues whatsoever on start-up and during normal driving conditions. I'm going to do some fuel pressure tests, but most likely I'm going to start by replacing the low pressure fuel pump assembly since I'm sure the previous owner didn't replace it and it's going on 120k miles.

Hi, my 2014 Tucson quit on the highway as I tried to speed past a semi truck. Then it would not crank, like the battery was dead. Roadside assistance attempted to jump start the battery and had no effect at all. The driver thought that the alternator failed and thats why, but when I got it home and charged the battery overnight, it had no improvement. The car did not hesitate or cough or soutter. When I took it to the dealer, tech said it was a bad fuel pump. Sound right? they replaced it and then replaced the engine. BTW, it had the anti-theft software upgrade two weeks prior to this happening. Thanks

I have to spray ethanol in that can in order to start my 2018 Kia Optima but it only stays crunk long as it’s been sprayed! 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ I dnt know what to do next…Kia put a fuel pump on under warranty and the high pressure was replaced aftr that b/c they said the car was still cutting off aftr they replaced fuel pump but it’s still doing the same thing…

@@MeTheErectrician I disconnected the sensor to it and the tap went away but was told if it were bad I’d have symptoms, so it’s probably going bad just not there yet.

How did you know the problem which high fuel pump or low pressure pump My car is Kia Rio 2012 GDI Too much time to charking like 6 sec the engine starting and running but it is only up to 3000 rpm if I try to rev or accelerate it is shaking and when I drive it only 60 to 80 kph and can you give me A opinion thanks

My kia loosing power when running 80 to 100 kph on highways. I change sparkplug,ignition coil,pcv valve and clean map sensor. I also change my transmission fluid. Its running good now in the city but still cant drive highway its it's scary specially i have 2 kids with me. Any tips what else i can check on my kia rondo 2014? Thanks

Mine is consuming gas.. I changed the spark plugs but it’s still consuming gas I literally use 10 miles worth of gas in 4 miles. No check engine light on. any idea will help
