Synapses are the connections between neurons or between neurons and muscle cells. In this video, I explain the steps of synaptic transmission-how that signal is passed from one neuron to the next.

It is synthesized in the presynaptic terminal from acetyl-coA and choline by the enzyme choline acetyl transferase

thank u so much sir :D. but i have a question, how does neurotransmitters affect the body's organs like hormones does, or are some people confusing the terms

Neurotransmitters and hormones are both chemical messengers. Generally though, neurotransmitters don't travel far, whereas hormones travel through the bloodstream and reach parts of the body all over. So neurotransmitters will usually only affect the brain.
