"Strobilanthes" - නෙළු හෝර්ටන් තැන්න වගේ කඳුකර වලාකුළු වනාන්තරවල බිම් ස්ථරයේ වැවෙන පඳුරු විශේෂයක්. වසර 12 කට වරක් එක් වරම මුළු යායම මල් පිපීම හරිම සුවිශේසී සිදුවීමක්.

Strobilanthes in Horton plains National park and other cloud forest in Sri lanka shows in 12 year cycle of synchronised flowering. First recorded by British planter in late 1800s, phenomena still continues. Last mass flowering was observed in 2013 November. Expected next synchronised flowering will be on end of 2025.
