Very useful video and channel. As a future Qatar bound and fellow NOLA expat I have some specific questions....can you find Okra, Crystal Hot Sauce, seafood boil? Is head on non peeled shrimp expensive? What's the best substitute for smoked sausage and andouille? Should I ship over my seafood boil rig or can I find them there? ........just some important questions for SE LA peeps.

Thanks for visiting! I'm living in Qatar short term, so renting is a better option for me, but if I was living here more than 5 years or so I'd definitely consider it. Lusail definitely seems like the place to be in the next few years.

Great video, but do you have to use plastic bags for every single fruit/vegetable you buy? A genuine question btw, not hating.

Grocery stores are slowly migrating to paper and re-usable bags, but it's still mainly plastic for now. With the pandemic a lot went back to plastic.

Hi Rose, I worked as an engineer. For my job I didn't need to be fluent in Arabic at all.
