whats up with the c2 encryption key. Why do they demand you set that up if you are already encrypting everything locally?

Re backing up say the office active backup 365 app, I know hyper will backup the actual data saved to drives, but how can you backup the meta data and settings so that if the Nas blows up, your not stuck adding many office 365 accounts again (application settings) to the nas itself. Hopefully that makes sense and thanks for all you do.

I'm sure there was a downside to client side encryption, so I turned it off - I think it made my daily 5 minute incremental backups take many hours. Or maybe that was encrypting the shared folder target on the destination USB drive. I'll have to investigate again.

We currently use Solarwinds Backup but have moved our shared data to a Synology device. Should we use Solarwinds to backup the Synology NAS or add the C2 Cloud backup?

You make a lot of very nice informative videos. But when you do this type of video, please include a time frame of how long to backup and restore (sharing your network and PC specs) to give a good generalization.

Synology throws a scary warning when you encrypt the transport and destination. I don't understand why because it makes sense to do both. Is there a such thing as to much encryption?

I have run into a problem with this I backup all my computers using Synology Activebackup for business and it will not let me upload the Activebackup for business data files to C2 cloud because they are virtual files so its pretty much useless to me

Is there a protection that a hacked DS can not overwrite or delete c2 backups before those expire? (Append only backup)

Does Hyper Backup also backup snapshots? By using both am I doubling up by having multiple versions (backed-up) of snapshots?

The only problem with cloud backup for the average user is upload speed. I tried several cloud services and at 10mbps it was impossible.

The only disadvantage with C2 is that you pay for, let's say, 1Tb even if you are actually using less than that.
