I love the verbal sparring. Also, it shows Mizu is very intelligent, not just a sword. This was a negotiation. Taigen's also just along for the ride and hearing both sides after watching Mizu pull up for the meet.

Go back and watch dude swing his sword closely. The animation was genius from the candles getting blown out, to the flower cut, then the full power contact to the table. Somehow they gave a slo-mo effect but at full speed. On top of all that, dude strummed the strings on the harp from his swing. The strings were blurry because they were vibrating! Top notch!!

Can’t wait to see ur reactions to episode 5! Probly my favorite episode in season 1 with the best action scene of the entire season, I was literally screaming at the tv it was so hype 😭🙌 this is also the episode where Akemi started to become my favorite, usually I hate characters like her but I LOVE how smart and well written she is. And all the voice actors on this show kill it 🙌👏

Akemi may know nothing about life, but she sure as hell learns fast ;) This was the episode where I started to love her, and she only gets better... Eng. dub not doing it for me though. Just no ^^°

It's not anime; it's anime-inspired, produced in the US and Canada. Before AI fully takes over, you can observe that the lip movements precisely match the English dialogues. The characters speak English with accents to convey their Japanese identity, except for Abijah Fowler, who is European. If there's a season 2, the show might explore the language barrier, as in season 1, they speak "Japanese," but to our Western ears, it's in English.
