Something not a lot of people notice; at the very end of the nightmare solo, (9:56) the guitar in the right ear is playing the higher harmony and the left is playing the lower one, however the two ending notes are played the opposite way, so the guitar on the right plays the high part until the last two notes it plays the low part and vice versa with the left going from low to high. That’s what makes the end of that solo so orgasmic

A few thoughts. 1) His tone on the last track is WAY better than all the others. That's really my only complaint with him is his recorded tone, prior to Hail To The King, always seemed thin and too much distortion. Sorta like Dimebag (another MONSTER player with recorded tone that was thin). It's possibly not even his fault as A7X's mix in general wasn't all that great until HTTK. I've seen him live several times, pre-Hail-to-The-King and his tone was always good. 2) I don't get why so many people hate on him. He has his own style, tons of personality in his playing, and he's got a raw energy, where even when it's worked out it sounds like he's "just going for it". He's super fast, and pretty clean. Maybe not 'squeaky clean' like others but close enough. Plus, there's feeling in his leads. Sometimes that comes at the expense of playing super clean and so what? It sounds fine in the full mix. Little imperfections are almost expected on a solo track like what he have here. 3) He's awesome.
