It was true. Sometimes the touches took by our players seemed like they are seeing the ball for the first time. What could anybody do if players can't do the bare bone basics right in important matches. We have ton of gap between the defense line and the centre mid line, that if opponent player cuts one centre midfielder itself, its turns to a counter attack. While we can't even capitalise the other teams defensive line mistakes. As you've said, we atleast only want to see India playing good football. It feels depressing to watch our team play match after match like this.

Pradeep please continue doing what you are doing now, which is, Keep talking about Football. We are a one sport nation. Why did cricket become so popular? Because of '83. From then every kid started taking a bat rather than kicking a ball. Similarly, India should prove in football in a bigger stage to have a cultural shift towards football. Like going really close to qualifying for world cup, like reaching quarter/semi finals in Asia Cup. Temporarily if they can do that by bringing PIO players I'm still happy. Let the next gen see this start dreaming about playing football for the nation. At the same time AIFF needs to take significant measures in marketing football and creating infrastructure in each State and importatnt cities in that State, conducting small tournaments. Only when we become passionate about football and start playing in gallis our basics will be right and new talents will emerge. The irony is IPL was started few years before ISL and now IPL is the 2nd most valuable league in the world behind NFL in America. ISL is barely profitable. I like cricket, but I love football!

Syria can perform so well despite their county war and economic crisis. I believe their football team barely have 30% of indian team budget. Yet they are playing with so much determination and hunger . What excuse these guys have ? ISL has been there for quite sometime , given better pitches and training platforms. Bro I don't know what happened to our team few months back we played kings cup in Thailand we literally outclassed iraq 2-2 they scored two goals from penalty but we lose in penalty. Now I think there is lack of confidence in players as you said basic pass is not right here our coach didn't had a positive thinking zero tactics no goal scoring willing from our players
