SYRINGOMYELIA IN HINDI/URDU
Syringomyelia is the development of a fluid-filled cyst (syrinx) within your spinal cord. Common signs/symptoms of syringomyelia include pain in the neck and shoulders, muscle weakness, pain and stiffness in the legs, numbness or decreased sensation, especially to hot and cold. study suggested that 20% of patients suffering from Syringomyelia died at an average age of 47.

After 52 healthy years of life I started to have problems starting in April 2019 with my back giving out and sciatica. Never recovered and by March 2020 I was told I have syrinx T12 and Syringohydromyelia. It is June 2022 and have not had a good day since. It has gutted my life and I no longer work and only battle to stay out of the useless ER because they tell me sorry we cannot do anything because it is your spinal cord. Even the neurosurgeon told me go home have a drink and do not baby it. I have many many issues and worse is the atrophy of my muscles mainly in legs that are now destroying my knees. I have no strength and cannot exercise. Oh and it has ruined my relationships with my siblings and father calls me a loser. Future looks bleak and I get gaslight from all my doctors telling me syrinx doesn’t cause any of the 35 symptoms I mentioned even the burning pain in my T12. Doctors suck

Sir...I've been diagnosed with Syringohydromyelia and entire cord is affected...all my blood tests were normal...I was having severe pain in the cervical region for 5 months...then I experienced problem in ejaculation..then I got a lot weakness on legs and back pain...In lumbar and sacral region.. Currently.. After a month..My MRI was done I was diagnosed with Syringohydromyelia...I don't have any loss of sensation of pain, temprature or touch...Can you please tell me what could be my stage and the cause?

Its in initial phases it can progress more so remain in touch with your neurologist. May Allah give you healthy life.

@@theeasymedic5874 Thank you brother....It's relieving to know it's still in initial stages....I consulted a Neurosurgeon...He said the ultimate treatment is only surgery..He has given me nerve pain medication along with steroid anti-inflammatory medicine and asked to see him after a month.... Thank you for the valuable information brother ❤️....May Allah bring you prosperity...One last question if you can answer...Can you estimate my recovery period after surgery to the level I can study properly?

I had the same problem. Syrinx in T1-T11 major at T9. My left leg was powerless, my neck was not moving right left. Right feet was numb. This continued 1 year .A chiropractor cured all the symptoms but Syrinx is still there .Doctor says keep monitoring the sympotoms and MRI every 6 months. What is your opinion

2010 Obstructive Hydrocephalus, operated and VP shunt implanted 2014 Hydrocele 2015 Arachnoiditis, spinal compression ( lower spinal region ) Lowerbody sense and movement gone. Paraplegia 2021 Again Arachnoiditis and CSF cyst detected on upper spinal region.

@@khushbukumawat1132 syringomyelia cavity affect cervical and upper thoracic segment of spinal cord initially but as time pass they it get bigger and destroy more fibres laterally . as fibre move in spinal cord in form of laminae. cervical fibres most medially and sacral and coccygeal fibres most laterally. so by time this cavity can destroy lateral fibres and can affect more lower segments of spinal cord but initially i have said it only affect cervical and upper thoracic segment. hope it is clear if not than YOU can ask

you can go for surgery where a doctor relieve pressure on spinal cord by draining fluid in cyst.
