Hi ExitSign250, how is your day today? I personally thought that the newer I3 detector was going to go off first. Also I would like to say thank you so much for you inspiring me to get into the hobby of fire alarms, exit signs, door closers ect. Also I would like to ask you a question with regards to the wiring of addressable and conventional systems as is the wiring any different from each other with the two types of systems? They really are more interesting than people think. To answer your question about addressable and conventional, I’ll refer you to a video a friend of mine made. Great test video as always! Really surprised about the smokes. I was certain the i3 would activate first, but I guess always expect the unexpected. Maybe I’ll buy a few of those “2400” detectors and try them out

Model number on that multi-candela Gamewell RSS is "72035" ;) (hey, at least it's not a Honeywell-branded one, cuz those model numbers can be quite long :P). Also, gosh, hearing all these alarms going off at once sounds pretty dang loud lol Great video!

I have a white model of the EST genesis ceiling mount shipping and I should get it in today. I am running a wire from my bedroom fire alarm system to the garage. I am also putting in a EST siga pull station. My question is the horn on the EST genesis able to be disabled without cutting wires?

The only was to disable the horn would be to cut the wires on the inside.

I love it all! Those genesis alarms are nice and modern But will we ever be able to request alarms ? I thought you said it at one point

What’s the difference between the Firelite MS-5UD and The Firelite MS-10-UD?

The MS-5UD has 5 initiating zones, while the MS-10UD has 10 initiating zones.

Do you have a module that makes the conventional smokes turn into addressable for 9200udls?

There is a module to do that, and I own one and it is wired into my demo. It’s the module on the right side. The model is MMF-302. It’s for 2 wire smoke detectors. If you have a four wire detector, you can use a standard module for the contacts and supply the power to it via the resetable power.

Awesome! Couldn't you use System Sensor sync to have audible silence on the EST Genises?

Thanks! I haven’t tried that before, I’ll have to experiment with it. But if it did work, the RSS and EHDL1 would act up since it is the incorrect sync protocol.

@@ExitSign250 Your welcome! True, I've heard that EST Genises's work on the System Sensor sync so I was throwing an idea out there. Maybe for your next test you could use all EST Genises's and test it out. Love your videos!

The Alarming Alarmist I appreciate it! I remember back in the day when I had a house system, I used System Sensor sync when I had both System Sensor and EST devices. If I recall correctly, all of the strobes synced together, but only the respective brand’s horn synced. So the System Sensor horn’s synced with each other, and the EST horns synced together.

I’ve heard those red Ceiling Mount genesis alarms aren’t that common. I’ve seen a couple of those around here. Great video!

I’ve been working on a project involving that for some time now. If it all plays out, it’s not going to be like having my name or logo on shirts, cups, backpacks, etc. It would be something different and unique. I can’t say much about it now, but I hope it will work out soon.
