This is video showing how to unlock bootloader of your Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco device. This is official way using Xiaomi Mi Flash Unlock Tool and computer. @mr bebra Probably not, you can't connect a Type C cable into your Redmi 7A... You are going to destroy it if you force into it. Iv downloaded the ADB several times And the PC recognizes it but when I open the unlock tool it does not show up even though I'm signed in properly and makes the sound Iv restarted the PC and the phone several times as well Iv also used 4 different cables especially the one it came with by the way it's the Mi 11 ultra in Chinese mode Can you please help I'm down $1200 and the wife is on me bad 😂 Great job

Problem is with usb drivers. Search for fastboot drivers. Or download mi flash(not unlock) and it will install drivers. If still not working try to disable drivers signature enforcement on Windows 👍

The Unlock Tool doesn't recognize the phone in fastboot (the computer makes the connection sound though). Do you have a usb driver or anything installed on your pc? Or do you have any other idea how I could fix that?

I'm in same boat as you. Windows 10 makes connection sound but doesn't show in Xiaomi unlock took. I had installed previous (ADB) fastboot drivers before and it works. But my device isn't shown in unlock tool. Anyone had any luck?

plug the device into a usb 2.0 into pc, if you dont have one,then just use a cheap usb 2.0 cable then it will work.

I didn't get weel one thing... After I click "UNLOCK" for the first time, and the program tells me "Please unlock 168 hours later. AND DO NOT ADD YOUR ACCOUNT IN MIUI AGAIN, OTHERWISE YOU WILL WAIT FROM SCRATCH." what do I have to do?! Do I have to log out from MIUI account on the phone and then do the unlock process again (after a week)? Or can I normally use the phone being logged with google, miui account and so on and then redo the unlock process? Thanks

I'm stuck @7:35 . Can't connect phone to the unlock tool. If I connect in regular mode my computer recognizes: k40pro+. When I disconnect, enter fastboot and reconnect to the computer the computer installs a MTP device or Android driver and unlock tool never recognizes the phone. Yes I am signed in with my account in the unlock tool on PC. Can't get past this device driver issue.

Me too, did you enter fastboot mode when you connect cable? If you don't know how, make sure phone is off. Hold down button first and power, keep holding both buttons down till you see fastboot logo

In my case, I forced hard reset my redmi 9 (miui 12) phone because I bought it second hand and the seller cannot rember his MI account password. Because of that I forced hard reset/wipe data the phone so that I can sign in to my own mi account. But after the hard reset a message popped in the screen saying that my phone is locked because it (the device) was associated with another account(the account of the seller) and it is asking for the password of the account. The cellphone repair shop was able to unlock it using an unlock tool but the thing is I can't use my phone freely. Everytime I use my phone the VPN must be on so that when I connect to the internet using data or wifi the phone won't relock. I can't use some apps like ShareIt because it needs the VPN to be turned off. Will this procedure work for me? Thank you in advance for your answer, Mr.

Use your phone normally just don't log out from Mi account. After 168 hours just connect to Mi unlock and select unlock.

Is there any bypass of the Wiping data? How can I flash the TWRP without it? Or, how can I backup the whole phone? Before I unlock it? (with everything like apps data, files like photos) I hate the MIUI 12.0.10 so much that it makes me to switch the while phone instead of waiting for another week and installing the Lineage OS. The MIUI 12.0.5 (and 0.7) were the last best versions and then from 0.9, everything started to fall apart. Gestures missing, no multitasking, quicker battery drain. (WTF Xiaomi)

Best way is to copy everything to your computer and also use Google backup. Sadly you can't bypass wiping data when unlocking bootloader this is rule for every brand.

The banking apps only didn't work for some people but it was because their devices are rooted and they did not set it up properly. Unlocking the bootloader doesn't really affect anything besides giving you the option to root.

No success for me. Yes everything I did in the video correct, In unlock tool. Phone doesn't show, I have installed all drivers, I have disabled signiture , still not working.in platform-tools I type ADB shell to access phone, vayu:/ $dir which means the driver is reading phone . I suspect the global rom version on my Poco x3 pro is preventing me to see phone in mi unlock tool. Currently on global rom 12.5.2 if anyone has a fix let me know

I disabled drivers signature enforcement on Windows and it is still not detecting my phone. I also tried with 2 different connectors, any solution to this? should I try more connectors?

Don't know mate, problem is with your PC. Change usb port if not working try with other pc. Search in internet for mtp drivers...

When bootloader is unlocked you can install custom recovery on your device and install custom ROM. For tutorial you need to follow steps written in website where you will download the ROM.
