ABOUT T.J. HOOKER: A veteran cop who turned down a promotion after the fatal shooting of his partner, Sergeant T.J. Hooker (William Shatner) now splits his time between a street beat and training young recruits. Working under the ambitious and politically-minded Captain Dennis Sheridan, Hooker and new partner Vince Romano, a headstrong rookie with a lot to learn, investigate assaults on women by a Bible-toting assailant and pursue a motorcycle gang that has turned to the arms trade. After an investigation into the death of a teenage girl exposes a drug ring at a local high school and endangers his own daughter's life, Hooker tracks down a serial killer looking to take revenge on a victim who eluded him eight years ago. And whether in the academy classroom or on the streets, Hooker aims to expose his young recruits to the pressures and realities of police work.

Good stuff! They sure don't make televison shows, or movies like they used to. I'm so glad to have grown up in the 60's, 70's and 80's, they can't be beat! I love everything William Shatner has done, he's an amazing actor. He's 93 now and still going strong! Keep it up Jim, lol ... we love you!!!

From Japan. nostalgic. It was once broadcast in Japan, where I live. The TV station is Nippon Television. Mr. Shatner's performance was also something to behold.

Shatner gets a lot of criticism but he always turns in solid performances. Also bear in mind he was in his 50s here and he was remarkably athletic still doing most of the stunts by himself.

Yes - she was only in season 1. Heather was in seasons 2 to 5. I was just looking this series up on wiki. Whole thing ran from 1982 - 1985. Wait a minute that's only 4 seasons. Wiki says that abc too it up "for a further season" which must mean it ran to 1986?

@@Romulan2469 I'm guessing they started production late; or the big wigs at the network weren't 100% on backing Shatner. TOS was only 12 years old. Bill didn't have the cult following he does now.
