We took an EXCURSION in COSTA RICA from our PRINCESS CRUISE vacation to see loads of crocodiles and soooo many birds on a boat tour of the TARCOLES RIVER in the Caracara National Park! The Tarcoles River has the highest populations of crocodiles in world - 25 crocs per square kilometer!! It was an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend this tour whether you are travelling on your own or are on a cruise, like we were!
I would love to go back to Costa Rice and see more of the countryside and other birds and wildlife! The people who lead the JUNGLE CROCODILE SAFARI were very friendly and the guide was very knowledgeable, providing opportunities to see birds and crocodiles really close up and educating everyone on the region! I hope you enjoy joining me on this wonderful BIRDING TOUR (yes...yes...also sooo many crocodiles LOL!)

It was really amazing! There was constantly things to look at and it was hard to watch everything and also get video and pictures but it's a tour I won't soon forget!

OMG! We just did a 12 day tour of Costa Rica! It was amazing!!! Did you meet Madonna? Mike Tyson??? We were just there and did that boat ride, it was awesome!!!

That's awesome Lisa! I didn't know to look for Mike Tyson OR Madonna! DID YOU MEET THEM?? Wasn't that boat tour awesome! I was so impressed! I am already planning for a longer visit to Costa Rica in the future! What an amazing place :D

My sister and brother in law moved to Jaco Costa Rica a few yrs ago and was living the life until their house just about slid off a mountain during a mud slide. They are now back in the USA.

Oh no! What a crazy experience that must have been! It was a very beautiful country but I wouldn’t want to be there in the rainy season I don’t think 😟

Haha! I might avoid kayaking in there 😂 There were some giant crocodiles in there **chomp chomp** 😨

My parents have been there multiple times and absolutely loved it there and said it's gorgeous. The woman they stay with had Patrick Swayze go to her house and ask her a question I can't remember what it was and she had no idea it was even him. I guess he had a house in Costa Rica like a few down from them and she never knew it never knew it

We were only there for the day but enjoyed our excursion! I would absolutely love to go back and spend more time! I think staying in San Jose would be nice and then just drive to explore all the different areas :D Too funny...there are celebrities hiding everywhere and it's harder to hide in such a small country I imagine!
