If they were total trash they wouldn't be here. The fact is the draft was incredibly strong and the way t1 played was really strong and calculated, they were calm, didn't make rushed plays and didn't shit the bed the second there was a teamfight. T1 was and still is 1 of the strongest teams in the world, they either play like the top team, play like a top 5 team or play like a bottom 5 team however, that last option only rarely happens, they lost to geng because they would choke, shit the bed and rush. We've all seen what t1 can do when they play the way they're able too, when they play strong and calculated just like at champs last year when they wiped the floor with geng, just like when they went 17-1 and wiped the floor with geng twice, they just haven't been doing that. If they keep drafting strong and playing the way we all know they can play they'll be fine and they will slap around geng, jdg and all the other teams you think they'll lose too. If they play like ns they'll lose guaranteed, if they play like the real t1 then they're good.

T1 played VERY aggressive in the spring split. The struggle has been proper rotation and positioning. There has been a lot of miscommunication throughout team fights, being on the back foot and flipping objectives HARD. Based off these points, T1 showed execution of their play calls correctly off timing and what trusting each other to meet those conditions looks like for them and its damn scary. This was a sigh of relief for them to know they actually can pull through and play a team game together here, their way. Now it comes down to executing this against a higher caliber team.

@@Brxndini I think also this biig meta change had a lot of impact. The split with their perfect split was better with Gnar, Lee Sin, Lissandra and now you get deleted in 1 sec or you are a mega tank

Mmmm no. I think you were right about it being psychological. But it’s not because they enjoy the game. It’s because they shut down against teams like this. TL didn’t almost beat T1 because they weren’t smiling. They almost won because they played T1 like any other NA team. And T1 doesn’t know how to play NA league of legends. They were confused. They were unorganized. And they weren’t sure how to respond. Whenever an NA team gets to T1 or DW or JDG and they try and play league of legends LIKE THEM they get creamed. TL figured it out. Just play. If they would just play. They stand a chance.

@@itzyan3221 NA gets paid handsomely to lose every year, why would they change that formula? they are working smart. they get to have a life and they also get professional success.

@@itzyan3221 also, even if korea-level discipline were introduced, you'd still have the problem of being a weaker region in general so the teams you're scrimming would not be as good, so in turn you would not be as good as top eastern teams. I'd pay attention to G2 this year as they are probably approaching the pinnacle of performance for a weaker region.

lastly, I do wonder if communication is an issue. for example, I imagine a full korean squad can probably communicate more effectively than an NA team with half imports.

@@abrahamz.7792 NRG vs MAD was 1-0 BLG vs FNC was 1-0 as well. This is the new swiss stage format. Only started this worlds.

I think the 1-2 FNC u were referring to was the bracket. FNC lost a total of 2 games (against LNG and BLG) and won 1 (vs GAM). Hence they are now in the 1-2 bracket. All the games played so far are BO1. The next round will be BO3 though as the loser would be eliminated with a total of 3 losses. Similarly, today games are all teams in the 0-2 bracket and losing would eliminates them. Hence would all be BO3.@@abrahamz.7792
