T9 Pro VS T9
0:04 Boot
0:14 Input Mode Switch
0:35 Bass and Treble
01:16 Ticking Sound
T9 pro increases the volume display on the basis of T9, and has a frequency spectrum. In addition, the knobs are reduced, but there are still bass and treble. T9 pro solves the ticking problem of T9.

I salute the company for improving this product. My only suggestion is to include a piece of paper with every unit that explains how to double-click the volume knob for adjusting treble and bass on the T9 Pro. All over KZfaq, there are reviewers saying that if you lose your remote, you can't adjust treble and bass -- and that's just flat-out wrong, and might be hurting sales.

I got the Pro a week ago, and connected it to a pair of speakers from an old Energy 5.1 kit. This replaced a 28-year-old pair of Sony computer speakers. I used the included optical fibre to my motherboard. I turned the bass up pretty high and backed off a bit on the treble to compensate for the 3-inch drivers. I am thrilled with the improvement in the sound compared to the old Sonys. 95% of the time, I have the volume very low, and the sound is great. But for a test I cranked it and played the Money for Nothing intro, and the sound was as good as could be expected for a system with no woofers. Every so often I will hear some detail in music that I had not heard in a while, and it makes me happy. And I love the way this looks, with the tubes, electromechanical meter, and digital display. I am going to get a Nixie clock for the other side of my desk.

I have the T9. Absolutely love the sound, but the click thing drives me nuts. It seems small at first, but if you sit near it it becomes annoying fast. It's the only complaint I have about it, but it's pretty bad. I seriously considered returning this at first, but the sound is excellent for the cost. Also the VU meter is pretty, but is poorly calibrated, so think just of it as eye candy. I wish you included a headphone out.

@@captainsgrog4991 if you do have issues, long pressing the "M1" button on the remote should disable the clicking. Alternatively, if you have it connected to a PC, you can also run a background program called sound keeper that will play a silent audio file when nothing else is playing which will also solve the clicking issue. I'm surprised more people don't talk about these solutions in the comments of these videos. In any case, you'll be able to enjoy your purchase, fear not captain. 🤙

Please share this with your subscribers: I attempted to use the T9 for computer gaming. The amp is always turning off due to lack of signal, and the time to re-activate has me completely missing sounds when gaming. I think this is a deliberate power / tube saving feature but It is a complete showstopper for non-streaming usage. My Gaming Machine has support for 7.1 and 3 separate Amps can be a sufficient, (for 5.1, need 4 for 7.1). This can be a great alternative to using powered speakers, enabling you to use the wonderful variety of passive speakers available. Nothing will change how missing sounds in gaming is a showstopper. I don't know if I have any solution except for returning them in favor of amps that will stay on. I have emailed them at support, but I doubt there will be a solution. They sound great when they stay on.

They recently updated their normal T9, you can now disable the "auto mute" feature that's meant to preserve the life of the amp, so no more audio cutting out and no more clicking when there's periods of silence. I got one a few days ago, and you can turn off the auto mute feature with the remote and it works perfectly, no complaints anymore

Why? LS50 needs 25 to 100W at 8ohms as per spec. This should be able to drive it. Unless the 85 sensitivity will hamper it.
@CinemaDemocratica
@CinemaDemocratica Жыл бұрын
@@rje6555 The LS50 is a powered speaker. You don't need an amp, preamp, or DAC. When the company says "not supported," like this, what they mean is that you wouldn't be able to control your LS50s using the remote or the face-plate functionality of the T9 Pro -- but you don't need the T9 Pro anyway: The guts of the LS50s include everything that the T9 Pro can do, already.

@@CinemaDemocratica The LS50 I'm talking about is the passive version which is the 1st release. There's an LS50 thats active that was released at a later date. I was wondering if the amp can drive the "LS50" ampless speaker.

Are the tubes on the T9/T9 pro ACTUALLY connected to the audio circuit? Some say they're only for show.
@CinemaDemocratica
@CinemaDemocratica Жыл бұрын
They certainly look like they're just for show, but Randy The Cheap Audioman auditioned a very similar product from a rival manufacturer and noticed a distinct difference in the sound quality with the tubes bypassed from the preamp stage of the signal path. I owned a Dared DV-6C (also Chinese, also tube preamp and class-D amp) a few years ago -- it used 12AX7 tubes but the aesthetic was very similar. And you could totally hear the tubes. That being said, unless it's an electrical engineer playing with the thing on the bench, we probably wouldn't know if including the tubes in the signal path was akin to pressing a loudness button that did something in the solid-state domain to fool us into thinking it was the tubes.
@CinemaDemocratica
@CinemaDemocratica Жыл бұрын
Follow-up: They aren't a full preamp stage but they are an active buffer stage, hence exactly halfway between being functional and just for show. They are definitely in the signal path.

A click is a mute. After the signal is given, the sound turns on with a delay, which was very inconvenient. Sometimes there is silence in movies, sometimes in games - but it turns on with a slight delay and before it really interfered. I am glad that T9 PRO has fixed this!
