Thank you, thank you and thank you! That is so wonderful to share the score with his playing. I was fortunate to see him in San Diego county in the early 2000. It’s so sad he died so young.

It has to do with accents, that mix of time signatures is called hemiola and it's very common in many music styles. In fact, at 1:50 there is what is called a vertical hemiola, where one voice in 6/8 and the other in 3/4 are happening at the same time. At least that's how I interpreted it when I was transcribing it. Indeed, bulerías are usually transcribed in 3/4 at double tempo, so they're arguably easier to read, but rhytmically it makes more sense to me keep the hemiola, besides it keeps the tablature nicely distributed without so many bars.
