How would one test to see if the cable is broken or if the circuit board is broken.

Just replaced the entire ribbon and for a second, it was charging then went off and never came back on....my questions are: 1) might my device have bad battery or something else wrong with it? 2) I have no problem if I cannot use this device ever again as long as I can extract photos n videos in it...how do i go about doing that? I can't turn my tablet on. I only get a "flashing" battery sign with battery voltage at the bottom. I opened my Mobicell "Plum" and checked the red and black wires where they connect to the board. I put the voltmeter to check them with and without the usb charging cable plugged in and I get about 3.4 volts. The battery label says it is 3.8 volts. I wanted to take it back to PEP for the warranty, but I left Joburg and am staying in Seoul and it started happening after I left Joburg. I'll unlikely come back soon enough to take advantage of the warranty. Ironically, this technically advanced country with fast internet doesn't have inexpensive tablets! And my data is still on this tablet. I've only had it for 2 months. Any other ideas you might be able to advise? Local fix-it men are hesitant to work on a tablet from overseas.

not attempting to repair, but charging plug is loose and seems to charge now (charging cord plugged in) when i put laptop charging on top of it (inside a metal basket) crazy. asked a few questions, and waiting for answers on a charging pad that may work.

Will this thing fix this story i have the same tablet HP Slate 7 : I had it on school and the charging port was kinda broken i had to put it on a wierd way and it was charging . But when i was charging it a stupid student played with the wire and then the tablet fell and the charging port is not working and that thing in the middle goes out when i plug it and unplug it hard.

My archos 80 cobalt is quiet old but stopped working some day (years a go) the charger does say that its on yellow (mid charge) but will not turn on no matter what i do I leave it on charge for over 24 hours and it wont charge fully or go green, it used to when it did work.I also left it off charge for 1 night and it went right to red again. I have tried resetting but the screen never lights up completely dead ant ideas?

Same here... It doesn't wanna charge but if you move the wire it'll charge which is annoying to me all the time and its loose whenever you unplug the charger.. What should I do????
